Photographic Reveal
For the first time in a LONG time, Nagisa Shiota can say that he was happy. Things in his life had finally started going his way. After trying to burn the Class E section of Kunugigaoka Junior High School to the ground, Nagisa's abusive mother, Hiromi Shiota, was sent to jail. This allowed Nagisa to live with his father for the first time in years, who he got along MUCH better with. His father was also a lot more supportive of him and his Autism, so he no longer had to deal with hour-long screaming matches, constant insults, and being forced to dress as a girl. A lot of his friends, his girlfriend, and even his teacher, Koro-Sensei, noticed that Nagisa was walking with a lot more pep in his step and his eyes looking forward instead of downcast on the ground.Wait…girlfriend?Yeah, girlfriend. After The whole incident with his mother trying to burn Class E down, Nagisa was able to finally confess his feelings to his best friend/not-so-secret crush, Kaede Kayano. It happened a week after he moved in with his father, and Kayano had come over to check on how he was fairing. The two began talking in his room, exchanging laughs about the events that had been happening to them since the yellow octopus creature had taken over their classes. However, those comedic chats turned into some consequential confessions, as Nagisa inadvertently revealed that he had a crush on someone. Nagisa tried to pretend that never happened, but Kayano wore him down, and he eventually confessed that he had fallen in love with the green-haired girl who had been his biggest support system outside his father.Much to Nagisa's relief, Kayano accepted his feelings and actually wanted to be his girlfriend. Years of being talked down to by his mother made Nagisa think he didn't have a chance with someone like Kayano, but his green-haired angel proved him wrong. After the two exchanged a kiss, Nagisa asked Kayano if she would keep this a secret, as the blue-haired aspiring assassin didn't want any unnecessary attention added to himself or Kayano, especially with how his classroom got with potential couples. Kayano agreed, and the two had begun a secret relationship that they hoped would last a long time.However, the 'secret' part of the 'secret relationship' didn't last too long.One day, while Nagisa was walking to Class E, several of his classmates offered him some congratulations, much to his confusion. Nagisa had been improving his skills as an assassin sure, but judging by the red faces and Cheshire grins on the congratulating faces, he had a feeling that it wasn't about that. Before Nagisa could make it to class, he saw Kayano, causing his heart to beat fast."Hey, Kayano!""Hey, Nagisa!" his green-haired girl called back, the two looking around to see if anyone was watching them before they gave each other a quick hug and quick kisses on the cheek."Kayano, have you noticed anything weird going on? People have been congratulating me since I walked in for some reason," Nagisa asked after separating himself from his green-haired girlfriend."Now that you mention it, Ritsu did call me all excited and congratulating me too. I…have no idea why either," Kayano responded with a shrug."Maybe Koro-Sensei will know what's going on," Nagisa suggested, with Kayano nodding in response before the two walked into their classroom. When they walked in, they didn't see the students sitting in their seats with Koro-Sensei standing at his podium. Rather, they saw all the students transfixed on the classroom bulletin board, the students talking over each other with surprise and excitement lacing their voices. Confused, Kayano and Nagisa walked over to the bulletin board and through the crowd, wondering what all the hubbub was about. When they got to the front of the small crowd, their eyes widened, their jaws dropped, and their hearts briefly stopped as they saw what had everyone so interested.It was a series of pictures of Kayano and Nagisa. In those pictures, Kayano and Nagisa were cuddling, holding hands, kissing, and just looking at each other lovingly. Before either one of the lovebirds could respond, their classmates swarmed them, bombarding them with questions and praise."When did this happen, Kayano!?""Damn, Nagisa, I didn't think you had it in you!""This reminds me of my favorite romance manga. Well…more like my 4th favorite, but it's still great!""You win this round, Nagisa."Nagisa and Kayano had no idea what to think, their minds flooded with embarrassment as they thought of who could have possibly caught them during their dates. However, Nagisa's eyes caught something; his red-headed friend, Karma Akabane, smirking at him and Kayano with a camera in his hand. Nagisa and Kayano glared at Karma, tick marks growing on their foreheads as Karma whistled an innocent tune while twirling his camera around with his finger by its lanyard."KARMA, YOU BASTARD!" Kayano screamed out, pushing her way out of the crowd still observing the pictures on the bulletin board."THOSE WERE PRIVATE MOMENTS! WHAT THE HELL, KARMA!?" Nagisa screamed out, the class looking on in shock, as they had rarely ever heard the normally demure Nagisa yell that loudly. Karma didn't seem to be too concerned, as he stopped twirling his camera around and walked over to the irate couple."You two weren't really as good at hiding as you thought you were. I just happened to walk by one of you on your dates. I was going to tell the class that you two had FINALLY gotten together, but I didn't think they'd believe me without evidence, so…I did a little snooping and was able to get some really good pictures," Karma explained, showing even more pictures that he had taken and didn't print out. Nagisa and Kayano's blushes grew even deeper as Karma revealed more and more pictures of them in the middle of their dates. Eventually, however, the assassin side of Nagisa took over as he jumped up, landed on Karma, and locked him in a Triangle Choke. Karma, despite being deprived of oxygen by his very irritated best friend, couldn't help but laugh as he attempted to pass his camera to someone else."KICK HIS BUTT, NAGISA!" Kayano cheered before turning around, and beginning the process of taking all the pictures Karma took of them down from the bulletin board. However, Kayano saw that she wasn't the only one doing so, as she turned to her right, and saw Koro-Sensei, with a picture in each of his tentacles, with the permanent smile on his face somehow growing bigger."Oh, these are adorable! They would make perfect additions to the class yearbook I've been working on," Koro-Sensei cooed, chuckling at just how close Nagisa and Kayano have gotten over this past year. Koro-Sensei also couldn't help but feel a little proud of Nagisa, who he always assumed was just a really shy kid who had a hard time really opening up and had so many self-esteem issues. Now, Nagisa had someone who he truly cherished and someone he trusted enough to let his guard down around. Koro-Sensei couldn't dwell on these thoughts forever, as Kayano pulled out her government-issued gun, and shot a round of anti-Sensei BBs at his tentacles."You're not putting any of those in ANY damn yearbook!" Kayano yelled out before chasing Koro-Sensei, who was continuing to admire the pictures in his hands. The class looked around, seeing Nagisa and Karma continuing to wrestle on the floor, and laughed. They had been so focused on training to be assassins that it was nice to laugh at moments like this. The class silently decided that they would give Nagisa and Kayano a proper congratulations on becoming a couple another day. For right now though, they enjoyed the entertainment in front of them, with some students (mainly Rio Nakamura), thinking of new ways to tease the blue-haired and green-haired aspiring assassins on their new relationship.
