Face your fear.
Quinn wanted to help Maddie get her body back and while she didn't know Maddie or the others well, she still wanted to help.
She couldn’t just spend her time trying to decipher Janet’s journal, she needed to do something else. Rhonda, Wally, and Charley access their key and they face their scars—it was traumatic for them.
Quinn didn’t know the teacher Mr.Martin like some of the others did but she figured that he might have written something down about her and the band kids.
It was worth a shot.
She didn’t tell Rhonda or the others because she knew they would protest, especially Rhonda.
She didn't know what her key was and they couldn’t visit the bunker to grab some other stuff but Quinn needed to find her key to help Maddie. She was standing in front of the school bus when she didn’t hear anything and instead saw a glowing red bus underneath her bus.
Her hand trembled as she held on to her French horn that she decided to bring with her.
You got this. She thought. You must help Maddie.
Quinn walked inside the bus and everything was red. In the background she heard raining but she knew earlier it wasn’t raining.
The day she remembered that it was raining was the day she died.
She felt a sharp pain in her abdomen and she went to touch it and she felt something wet. She looked down and saw that she was bleeding.
Quinn heard a scream—it didn’t belong to the kids that died on the bus with her, no the scream belonged to her.
She felt another pain in her body and she fell to the ground as she heard a crash against something solid. Her head hit something hard and she was convinced that she saw her own blood.
I’m the distance she saw someone—a teacher.
That must be Mr.Martin.
She tried to stand up and chase him but she heard another scream and her body ached in pain. She couldn’t move and soon she felt like she couldn’t even breathe.
In just a few seconds Mr.Martin was gone and Quinn was back at the school and in front of the bus like before.
Her heart was thumping out of her chest and she threw her French horn on the ground, scared to touch it again.
“Quinn.” She heard a female voice yell and she looked up to see Rhonda.
“R-Rhonda.” She says in a trembling voice and she quickly runs to her.
“What happened?”
“I found my key and I saw my scar.” Rhonda touches Quinn’s shoulder and she sighs.
“Why would you do that?” She asked and Quinn couldn’t stop the tears now pouring down her face.
“I ju-just wanted to h-help Maddie.” Rhonda felt her heart breaking as she heard Quinn crying.
“I wanted to live and I knew that I couldn’t. I wanted to help Maddie so she can live again. I felt me dying and it hurts. I didn’t deserve that.” Quinn broke down and Rhonda pulled her into a hug.
Her eyes widened in shock, Rhonda didn’t like hugs or physical touch.
“I got you.” She whispers. “I wont let you get hurt again Quinn.” Quinn nodded and she hugs Rhonda back.
“Thank you Rhonda.” She says smiling.
Quinn was grateful to have an amazing friend like Rhonda. She was truly grateful.

Even when she was alive, Rhonda never cared for physical touch or people getting in her personal space.She hated it when she was alive and she certainly still hates it now that she’s dead.She was trying to help Quinn decipher Janet’s notebook when Quinn touched her shoulder. She didn’t want to be too angry so she just shrugged it off.“Personal space,” she whispers and flips to the next page.Quinn leans closer to her as she touches the page that Rhonda just flipped. Her hand slightly touches Rhonda’s neck and she loses it.“Get the fuck off of me.” She yells, pushing Quinn off of her and she leaves.“What happened?” Charley asked as he, Wally, and Maddie walked into the library.“I don’t know.” Quinn said. “Everything was fine, I just touched her shoulder and she freaked out.” Charley winces.“Yeah, Rhonda isn’t a big fan of physical touch.” Wally said and Quinn didn’t realize that.“I have to go.” She left the library and went to find Rhonda.After a few minutes Quinn finally found Rhonda in the science lab looking at the skeleton that she thought was her dead body.”Hey,” She says and Rhonda looks up at Quinn.“Hey.”“I’m sorry for pissing you off.” Rhonda sighs.“It’s not your fault.” Quinn chuckles.“I mean it is. I should've asked for permission.”“I never really cared for physical touch, it just wasn’t my thing, earlier you accidentally touched my neck and I lost it.” A tear shed down her cheek. “When my neck was touched, it made me think of my murder…when my guidance counselor strangled me to death.”Quinn steps closer to Rhonda but she made sure that she was still in a distance to give her some space.“I didn’t realize that, I’m sorry for making you think of that.” Rhonda gives her a small smile.“I appreciate your apology.”“How about this,” Quinn suggests. “I‘ll ask if you want to be touched and I’ll give space when you need it.”“That is a good idea.” Quinn steps closer to her.“May I touch you?” She asked and Rhonda found herself nodding. Quinn moves her arm to touch Rhonda’s waist.A gasp escaped her lips at the touch.“Is this okay?”“Yeah,” Rhonda said. “Can I touch you?”Quinn laughs.“Yes I would like that.” Rhonda moves her hand to Quinn’s waist and she pulls her into a hug.“Thank you for understanding.” She whispers against Quinn’s neck. Quinn smiles.“Anytime Rhonda.”

Rhonda used to think that she would rather be dead than be in a band room.Well, she’s dead now and she’s inside the Split River High School band room.At least she’s not alone. Quinn is with her.She was teaching Rhonda how to play the French horn.“This is so fucking hard.” Rhonda groans and Quinn laughs.“It’s an instrument, instruments are hard to play.”“Why did you join band when you were alive?” She asked and Quinn sighs.“I love music and when I played the French horn for the first time, it was amazing. It made me feel good and I didn’t want to stop even when I died.”“Then continue teaching how to play it. I want to make you happy when you hear me play.” Quinn laughs.“Ok baby.” Her eyes widened in shock when she realized what she just said.“Did you call me baby?” Rhonda asks and Quinn shyly nods.“Yeah I’m sorry, it just slipped out.” Rhonda smiles.“You can call me baby as long as I can call you mine.” Quinn laughs as she steps closer to Rhonda.“I would like that baby.” Both of their hearts fluttered and Rhonda couldn’t take it anymore. She grabbed Quinn’s face and pressed her lips against hers.The kiss was gentle and affectionate while also being full of passion.When they pulled away they couldn’t stop smiling as their hands interlock with each other.“You’re perfect.”“So are you, baby.”

Charley never thought that he would get over his love for Emiliano.He was his first love. He was so angry at Emiliano and decided to break up with him in a letter.He regretted that, especially because he knows that he could never take that back.He was glad that he got closure at the dance with the letter he just wrote a few hours ago.He was finally ready to move on but he was scared that he would mess up again and won’t be able to take it back.Charley thought that he wouldn’t meet another gay ghost like him.Until he actually talked to Yuri.It turns out that Yuri could speak English the whole time and Charley never realized that.He realized that he should’ve talked to Yuri sooner because he was fun to talk to and he felt like he understood him.Overtime Charley developed feelings for him.He’s now in the pottery wheel with Yuri, making a pot.“I’m getting the hang of this.” Charley says, his hands were shaking from nerves.He was going to confess his feelings to Yuri.“You’re good for your first time.” Yuri says and Charley chuckles.“I have a great teacher.” Yuri smiles.“You should see this.” Yuri moves towards Charley and he is now looking at the pot he created.It was normal with a few shaky lines and on the pot it said ‘I like you.’Yuri didn’t stop smiling.“You don’t have to say anything, I just thought that you should know.” Yuri chuckles and he kisses Charley’s cheek. He turns his pot around and on the pot it says ‘I like you’.Charley smiles at the fact they both wrote their confessions on their pot.This is the greatest day of Charley’s afterlife.

Maddie couldn’t believe this.Janet is now back in the school but because she set fire to her old home and accidentally stayed there for too long and accidentally killed her.Maddie was officially dead and she couldn’t do anything about it.She’s avoiding Janet and everyone else, including Wally.She didn’t hate Janet, she was just upset. She’ll only be able to see her friends but she won’t be able to touch them or communicate with them.Most of all, she won’t be able to hug her mom.Her mom walked inside the school to collect everything that belongs to Maddie and she couldn’t do anything to comfort her.Her mom couldn’t stop crying and Maddie knew what was going on.She has seen it so many times.Her mom was drinking again and this time Maddie won’t be able to help her.She’s now in the school’s pool, crying until she feels like she can’t breathe. She heard footsteps but she didn’t say anything.He sat next to her and she looked up at the ghost.It was Wally.“Hi,” she sniffles and Wally wraps his arms around.“I’m sorry Mads. Let out your emotions.” And that was what Maddie continues to do. She kept crying, staining Wally’s shirt with tears.Wally didn’t say anything, he just began to rub back as a way to comfort her as he brought her closer to him.“I’m here for you Mads.” He says. “I’ll be here when you need me.”Maddie nods her head and kisses Wally’s cheek.“Thank you Wally.” Wally smiles and gently kisses her on the lips.“I’m always going to be here for you Mads. You make this afterlife entertaining.” Maddie smiles back.“You’re amazing.”“So are you Maddie Nears.”

“What do you know about the ghosts in our school?” Xavier asks Simon as they sit down.“Not much,” Simon responded. “Maddie talks about them but I’m not sure.””Maybe we can look into it, we might even find out more things about this Mr Martin and Janet.”“Sounds good.”For the last few weeks, Xavier and Simon had been spending time together in the library finding out information on the ghosts of Spilt River High.“I got a ghost that died in 1963,” Simon says, scrolling through his phone. “A Rhonda Rosen. Yikes, she was murdered by her guidance counselor.” Xavier’s face scrunched up in horror.“That’s awful.” Simon and Xavier felt a shiver go down their neck and they felt like they were being watched.“You think they’re watching?” Xavier asked.“Maybe. Who’s next?”Xavier pauses for a moment trying to think of the names Simon had given him.“Charley.” Xavier responded.“Mr. Figueroa knew him. On the night of homecoming, Maddie had me give him a letter that Charley wrote to him.”“Then let's go ask him questions.” They quickly got their stuff and they left the library.“Seems like your ex and best friend is obsessed with our deaths, cherry pop.” Rhonda says as she watches them leave.“Your friend could have asked how we died.”“They’re probably just trying to help.” Maddie says and Charley sucks in a breath.“I don’t know how our deaths are going to help us, Maddie.”Simon knocks on the door when he sees students leaving the classroom.“Mr. Figueroa,” Simon says and Emilio shots his head up.“Yes Simon.” He answered and this time Xavier spoke.“We would like to ask you a few questions about a boy you went to school with.””Who?”“Charley.”Emilio’s body froze.“It’s been a while since I heard that name. What questions do you have for me?” They entered the classroom.“How did you know him?” Xavier ask and Emilio laughs.“We were lovers at the time before we broke up on the day he died.”“How did he die?”“The school cafeteria dip the fries into peanut oil and poor Charley didn't bring his EpiPen with him.””I’m sorry for your loss.”Emilio smiles at them.”Thank you. I found ways to honor his memory so kids wouldn’t have to go through what we went through.”A week passed and Simon couldn’t stop thinking about Charley. He felt bad that he died that way and he felt bad because he could relate to him in some way.Charley grew up in a world where he wasn’t accepted and Simon grew up hating himself for liking guys. For so many years Simon has been trying to avoid his feelings and tried to develop feelings for girls but never worked.He ended up developing feelings for Xavier and he couldn’t avoid it any longer.When he was alone he would try to talk to Charley for advice but obviously he didn’t answer since he could only talk to Maddie.“Hi.” Maddie says as she sits next to him.“Oh hi Maddie.”“I know that you have feelings for Xavier.” She admits and Simon’s eyes widen in shock.”How?” Maddie chuckles.“I see everything Si and Charley told me that you've been trying to talk to him about your feelings for him.”Simon felt his face heat up in embarrassment.“Oh.”“You should tell him.” Maddie says and Simon looks at her in shock.”But he’s your ex.”“Yeah he might be my ex but he likes you Si and you like him too. I want you to be happy. Charley agrees with me.”Simon laughs.”Thank you Maddie.” He quickly left to go find Xavier.“I hope everything works out for him.” Charley says as he sits down.”I hope so too.”“Xavier!” Simon yells out when he finally finds Xavier in the library.Xavier turns around as Simon whispers out, “I’m sorry.” to the librarian when she shushes him.“What’s going on Si—” Before Xavier could finish his sentence, Simon quickly grabbed his face and planted a kiss on his lips.His eyes widened in shock but he wrapped his arm around Simon’s waist, pulling him closer.The kiss was short and sweet.Simon pulls away.“I like guys. I tried to deny that but I couldn’t and I didn’t want to develop feelings for you because you’re Maddie’s ex but I ended up falling for you Xavier. She talked to me a few minutes ago and her and Charley both agreed that I should tell you. I still think you’re an asshole at times but maybe you could be my asshole?” Xavier laughs and softly kisses Simon.“I like you too, Si. I would like to be your boyfriend.” Simon smiles as he holds Xavier’s hand.Maddie was watching the scene with Charley, Rhonda, and Wally.“I’m happy for them.” She admits as she rests her head against Wally’s shoulder.“They look perfect together.”

You got this Yuri!Yuri told himself as he left the pottery wheel—his comfort spot. He felt his hands shaking as he held onto the creation he just made.He could feel his heart beating faster as walked towards the cafeteria. Yuri usually stays away from the cafeteria and eats in the greenhouse since he was never a fan of the cafeteria, it was too loud and he didn’t want to be too close to people.He’s only going for one person.Charley.Charley is a junior that Yuri has a crush on. Yuri usually kept quiet to himself until he met Charley when he stumbled into the pottery wheel. They started to talk and he found himself developing feelings for Charley. At times Charley would join him for lunch and they would talk about movies and music. Charley would even share his lunch with Yuri when he forgets his lunch.He finally made it inside the cafeteria and he saw Charley sitting with his friends. He was laughing at some joke a jock was making.Черт, он великолепен!(Fuck, he’s gorgeous)He walks up to him.“Hey Charley, can I talk to you?”He got up from his seat, telling his friends that he’ll be back soon and he follows Yuri. The jock stands up and yells out: “If you hurt Charley, I’ll make your life a living hell.”They were out of the cafeteria and Charley spoke.“What do you have here?” He asks, examining the bowl that Yuri made. “It’s beautiful.”“It’s for you.” He shoves the bowl in Charley’s hands making him blush.”Thank you.”Here goes nothing.”Ты мне нравишься, хочешь пойти со мной на свидание?(I like you, would like to go on a date with me)” He blurts out in Russian. He mentally hits himself in the face for being so stupid.Why would I ask him out in Russian? Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.Charley laughs and pecks Yuri on the cheek.“Конечно, я пойду с тобой на свидание.(Of course I’ll go on a date with you)”Yuri’s eyes widened in shock.“You speak Russian?””Not much but I want to learn some so I can understand what you say. Do you want to sit with me and my friends?”Yuri smiles.”I would like that cutie.”Charley blushes.

Quinn just wanted some friends.She never had any when she was alive and it turns that she couldn’t even make friends now that she is dead.She has been stuck in a time loop for so many years and now she regrets ever breaking out of the loop.The other ghosts were jerks. She understands that Maddie is just trying to get back to her body but that doesn’t mean she and the others should be rude to her. The only reason why they want her is because she can read Janet’s journal.Quinn was fucking sick of it.The only ghost that was nice to her is Yuri but he mostly stays in the art room.She was currently with the others trying to figure out the code in Janet’s journal.Quinn was bored and decided to talk about something that always makes her happy.Music.They all were born and died in different time periods so she was mentioning her songs and genres from her generation—the 2000s.They didn’t care.“Can we just focus on the journal Quinn, no one cares about your taste in music.” Quinn gripped the page she was touching so tightly and without even thinking, she ripped it out.The ghosts gasped and Quinn was too angry and she was tired of how she was being treated.She began ripping each page until they was nothing left and she then threw the journal on the floor.“Figure out the codes yourselves, assholes! I’m sick of you guys treating me awful! Fuck all of you!”She quickly walked out, apologizing when she bumped into Rhonda’s shoulder.Rhonda felt her heart shattering when she witnessed Quinn walking out of the library in tears.“What’s going on?” Rhonda asked in confusion. “I thought Quinn was staying with us?”“Quinn ripped Janet’s journal.” Wally says as he picks up a few of the ripped pages.“What why?”“She was talking to us about music and we didn’t have time for that since we needed to help Maddie so we told her that we didn’t care and she got mad and ripped Janet’s journal.” Simon explains and Rhonda shakes her head in disapproval.“You’re all fucking idiots!” She yells and left the library.She needed to fix this.****Quinn was walking back to the band room after walking around the halls in tears.Originally she was to stay in the art room with Yuri until she calms down but she didn’t want to burden him so she just walked around the halls.She now knows the truth: that she was alone in the afterlife.She was going to stay to the band room for a few minutes and then she was going to go back to the marching band and this time she won’t snap out of the loop.She wiped the tears off her face as she entered the band room. She notices a record player with a disc inside and she decides to play it.“Foolish Girl.Talk of town.How could you let your guard down?Fell into the fire, looks like everyone is talking.Foolish girl.”As the song kept playing, Quinn couldn’t stop listening to it.It might seem ridiculous but Quinn felt like she was able to relate to this song.A tear slip down her cheek and she smiled.“Thank you.” She whispered softly.Rhonda promised herself that she would never listen to that song again. That song her and her best friend Marjorie made was too painful for her but she knew she had to make things.She had to break that promise to herself.The pain was worth it when she saw Quinn’s beautiful smile.She’s going to make sure that Quinn knows that she’s not alone in this afterlife.

“This is dangerous!” Charley says. “Going back to our scars.”Maddie sighs.“I know it’s not perfect but Mr. Martin is somewhere in our scars and we have to find him. He wants to trap us inside our scars and the only way to stop him is by going in.”“It’s not a good idea.” Yuri says, placing his hand on Charley’s shoulder. “Reliving the worst days of our lives,” he shutters at the thought. “It’s awful.”Charley squeezed Yuri’s hand in comfort.“Remember what you told me when I went through my scar.” He told Yuri. “We’re already dead so what do we have to lose?” Yuri nods his head.“It’s the only way to stop him, and this time you guys won’t experience the scars alone.”Rhonda raised an eyebrow while Yuri, Wally, and Charley looked at her with confusion.“What do you mean?” Rhonda asked.“Quinn found something in Janet’s journal.” Quinn steps forward with Janet’s journal in her hands. She flips to a random page and shows everyone.“Apparently if a ghost has an item from the ghost facing their scar then they go in as well, but they need a bond of some sort. I figure that’s why Mr. Martin and Janet formed a support group, to gain our trust.”Rhonda felt like a fool for trusting Mr. Martin, for sharing personal information without even knowing that he was using her.She felt like history was repeating itself.“So who’s going first?” Wally asks, breaking the silence. “I don’t want to go first.”“Our death dates.” Quinn suggests, “we’ll go by the order of the years we died, whoever is the earliest goes first and whoever is the latest goes last. I’ll start, I died in 2004.”“I died in 1994.” Charley says and Yuri releases a sigh.“Died in 1977.”“I died at the homecoming game in 1983.” Wally says.“2023 for me.” Maddie looks at Rhonda, already knowing the answer. “So that leav—”“Me.” Rhonda cuts her off. “I died in 1963 so I go first and Maddie goes last.”Quinn steps in and grabs Rhonda by her arm.“I’ll go with Rhonda to get some of her items. We’ll be right back.” Quinn drags Rhonda out of the room.“This is for you hun.” Rhonda hands her a piece of paper. Quinn already knew what it was; the lyrics to Foolish Girl.“Are you sure you want to give it to me, I’m sure the others could hold onto it.” Rhonda shook her head.“I only trust you with it hun.”Quinn smiles.“Thank you.”Here goes nothing.Rhonda uses this opportunity and launches forward and places a kiss on Quinn’s cheek. She gasps but she doesn't look disgusted. She grabbed Rhonda’s face and kissed her lips.The kiss was slow and sweet.When they pulled away, they began walking back to the others while holding each other's hands.They return and Rhonda gives each item to the ghosts.“Okay here’s the plan,” Maddie speaks, “Rhonda goes in and we wait for a minute and then we enter the scar. Hopefully this’ll work.” Rhonda nods.“I’ll protect you and beat up your demons baby.” Quinn whispers softly, she was loud enough for only Rhonda to hear. She chuckled.“Thank you hun.” She gripped onto her key.“See you bitches in a few minutes.” She quickly left and went to the guidance counselor office.After a minute passed, Quinn was already running to find Rhonda but she stopped.“Where’s the guidance office?”Maddie leads everyone to the office and they see a red light behind the door.“Here we go.” Maddie says and they all stepped inside.“Who’s that?” Yuri asked when they saw Rhonda talking to a man.“Mr. Manfredo.” Wally answered. “Her worst nightmare.”“What do you me—” Quinn’s words were cut off when they all heard Mr. Manfredo yelled.“You’re leaving me?”Rhonda flinched at the sound.“Mr. Manfredo calm down.” He gripped onto Rhonda’s arm, pulling her closer to touch his waist.“You’re mine Rhonda Rosen. We have something special.”“She’s not yours, asshole.” Charley yells. “She belongs to no one.” Mr. Manfredo turn his head towards the sound.“Who’s there?” He asked and Rhonda uses this opportunity to push him and she was running towards the door.“Come on Rhonda!” Maddie and Quinn were yelling at her to escape.“Run Rhonda, run!” She gripped onto the door handle but Mr. Manfredo pulled her back in.“You fucking bitch!” He wrapped his hands around the neck tightly.Rhonda screams as her nails touch his body. She tried scratching him to release his grip but it was useless.“STOP IT!” Quinn wails as she can't control the tears pouring down her face. “Stop it! Stop it! Stop hurting her! Please!” Maddie held unto her waist, stopping Quinn from running to her as she was screaming for Mr. Manfredo to let Rhonda go.Soon Rhonda stopped struggling and she let out one last breath as her hand fell down to the floor.Quinn pushed Maddie back and she ran towards Rhonda’s still body.“Rhonda wake up! Please baby, fight the sleep! Rhonda wake up!” Wally touched Quinn’s shoulder and she collapsed into his body, wailing unto his shirt. Yuri walked towards them and he grabs Rhonda’s body.“I don’t know if you can hear me Rhonda but your girlfriend needs you and she’s scared for you.” He whispered in her ear. “Wake up.”Rhonda’s eyes bulged as she let out a gasp. Quinn’s head popped up at the sound and she pushes Wally off and she immediately hugs Rhonda.“I’m fine hon.” She combs her fingers in Quinn’s face as a tera slid down her cheek. “I’m fine.”Quinn kisses Rhonda.“You are so strong, baby. Don’t ever scare me like that again.”“I won’t, I promise.”“Let’s get out of here.” Charley says and they ran to the exit. They returned back inside the halls.Rhonda stays in Yuri’s arms as she hugs Quinn tightly. Yuri slowly releases his grip and Rhonda climbs into Quinn’s lap as Quinn keeps holding her.Maddie pressed a kiss on Rhonda’s head.“We’re here Rhonda.”“Thank you.” Rhonda muffles against Quinn’s chest.A few passed and everyone had calmed down. Yuri and Charley already left to go get Yuri’s items. When they return, Yuri hands Maddie, Wally, and Rhonda a bowl and hands Quinn a beaded bracelet with the words Veronica Mars.She squeals in happiness.“You mentioned that you like the show when you were living so I thought that you would like it.” He says and Quinn smiles.“Thank you Yuri.”“Where’s your bowl or bracelet?” Wally asked Charley when he noticed that Charley didn’t have anything in his hand.Charley grins and lifts up his hand, revealing a handmade silver ring on his ring finger.“My boyfriend—or in this case, my fiancé—gave me something better than some bowl or bracelet.”Wally’s mouth drops and Rhonda has a thumbs up as Charley blushes.“Finally,” Rhonda says. “I thought it was going to take years for Yuri to propose.”Yuri chuckled.“We’re going to wait a little bit so the wedding won’t be instantly, probably will be in a few months but I’m definitely greedy and want to keep Charley all to myself.”Charley laughs and swat his chest playfully. Rhonda turns her head around when she looks into his eyes.His lifeless eyes were staring right at her.“Wally.” Maddie says and she gasps when she feels someone touching her shoulder.“It’s not a pretty sight.” Wally and Maddie’s eyes widened.“You saw your death?” Yuri says and Wally nods.“Yup, I watched as my neck snapped while my mother was screaming for me to keep fucking going.”Maddie got up and she launched herself into Wally’s arms. She pressed kisses against his face.“I’m so glad you’re okay. I’m so sorry you had to see that.” Wally held Maddie tighter. Charley hugs Wally from behind.Wally laughs when everyone joins in.Wally then saw Mr. Martin in the background.“He’s here.” He yells out and everyone pops their head up. Everyone started to run towards Mr. Martin who also started to run.“Get back here asswipe.” Rhonda yells. She almost catches him when she trips. The bus shook and they saw Quinn falling to the ground.Quinn’s nails gripped onto the cushion of her seat as her body slammed into it. She screams when she hears a bone crunching in her shoulder.“Rhonda.” She yells in fear. “Help me.” Rhonda and Yuri ran towards her. Yuri started to unbuckle the seat belt while Rhonda pulled Quinn closer to her. The bus rock again and this time the bus slammed against hard and Quinn’s body slams against the ground, her neck was snapped and Rhonda was forced to stare into her lifeless dark brown eyes. She cries as she holds onto Quinn’s dead body.“Wake up hun. I’m here and I’m not letting you go.” Quinn touches her back.“Don’t leave me.” She whispers and Rhonda shakes her head.“I’m never leaving you hun. I promise.”“Guys, I found something.” Charley calls out, bending down to look at an item. He looks away from the dead bodies on the seats and ground.It was a piece of paper.When he was picking it up, another hand touched it.Mr. Martin was trying to grab the paper.“No!” He says and without hesitation, he lifts his leg up and kicks Mr. Martin’s face, making him fall down. “This is ours not yours asshole.” He snarls in hatred but he is already gone.“Fuck.” He whispers as Wally drags him to the exit.Rhonda kept kissing Quinn’s lips and face when they got out of the bus.“I am not going to let you go through that again.” She promised.Maddie was hoping that she wouldn’t see the boiler again but of course, fate hates her.She touched the wall, she flinched when she felt something wet.Her breath hitches when she saw blood on her fingers, her blood.She takes a step back, her legs trip over her own and she falls to the ground.“You’re so ungrateful!” That memory of her and her mother arguing on the day she got possessed stuck inside her mind. Soon enough her mother was there, yelling at her just like did that day.“I’m not ungrateful!” She yells back, tears pouring down her face.She then saw her father there, except he wasn’t yelling, instead he was just looking at her with disappointment in her eyes.“I’m sorry.”Rhonda pushes her mother away and Wally grabs Maddie and he lifts her up and she wraps her arms and legs around him like a koala.She could still feel her father staring at her with disappointment. She buries her face in Wally’s neck, trying to avoid those stares. Wally rubs his hands on her back, soothing her as she cries.Rhonda blocks the view of Maddie’s father while the other keeps a lookout.“No sign of him.” Quinn says.“Let's get out of here now.”Maddie nods and she holds onto Wally tight as he runs.They fell to the ground when they got out the exit. She rest her head against his chest, not wanting to leave his warmth.After what they all just experienced today, they will never do again. They’ll find another way to stop Mr. Martin but Maddie is not going to let them relive their deaths again.She will make sure of that.

I was so worried about him when he got hit. Nobody knows if they’re going to live but I will make sure that he won’t die by my hands. I can promise you that.”Sheriff Baxter wants to protect his son but Xavier is seventeen and heading to college soon. He was angry at himself for telling her sooner.His phone buzzed and he saw that he got a text from Maddie.Maddie: Meet me at the greenhouse. NOW.He got up from his seat and he met with Maddie in the greenhouse.“So what did you need to talk to me about?” Simon asked.“I talked to Wally a while ago about our relationship.” Simon felt his stomach churning from jealousy. Why do they have to talk about him?“So you guys are dating now? Maddie finally enters the school after one week of her finally getting back to her body.She wasn't going to Split River High for her classes, no, this time she was going for a sleepover.Split River High is hosting their first ever school sleepover.Maddie wanted to go for two reasons: she could hang out with Simon and she was hoping that she could Wally, Rhonda, and Charley.During the time she started in that high school as a ghost, she had formed a close bond with them.She hoped that she could see them again.Xavier apologizes to Maddie for what he did to her, she forgives him but she can’t forget that he cheated on her with her ex-best friend. She told him that it’s going to take a while for her to trust him again.She mostly stayed close to Simon since Nicole was on her phone most of the time.They entered the cafeteria and Maddie looked around, trying to find three special people. A smile appeared on her face when she saw Rhonda, Charley, and Wally.They all looked exhausted and drained.“Be right back.” She told Simon and she started to walk up to them.“Hey guys,” she greeted and the ghost’s eyes widened.“Holy shit!” They all said and Maddie giggled.“We missed you so much!” Charley says.“I missed you guys too.”“I can’t believe this school is hosting a sleepover.” Wally says with his hands in his pocket. “They never did this when I was alive.”Maddie shrugs her shoulders.“I guess they decided this year would be a good idea to do this sleepover. Now come on, there’s a lot of fun activities to do.”“What about your friends?” Rhonda asks. “Don’t you want to hang out with them?”“I do but I also want to spend time with you guys. You’re still my friend too.”Rhonda, Wally, and Charley smile.Throughout the whole day Maddie was hanging out with Xavier, Nicole, and Simon and making sure there would be enough space for Wally, Rhonda, and Charley to join.She didn’t care that the others wouldn’t be able to see them, she just wanted to make sure that they were still involved.Maddie had them go to the art room and they made vases. Rhonda and Charley sat at the bleachers while Wally was cheering and yelling for Maddie to win as she tossed the football to Simon.“He still has feelings for her.” Rhonda says. “You can tell by the way he’s looking at her.”“I’m happy for him, I’m glad that he found love like we both did. I’m just hoping that doesn’t end badly.”Yuri and Quinn soon met them at the bleachers and they soon joined them. Maddie pressed her lips together.“About once or twice.” She replies.She remembered the time Wally took her to the rooftops for a date night and they ended the night by falling asleep while looking at the stars.Xavier and Simon sets the blankets on the ground as they started to form a pile.“You should go for it.” Maddie says to Nicole and she raised an eyebrow at Maddie.“What do you mean?”“You like Xavier.”“Wh-what.” Nicole stutters out. “N-no I do-don’t.”Maddie softly chuckles.“I saw the way you were looking at him and the way he was looking at you. She scoots over and pats the seat next to her.“She wants you,” Yuri says, patting Wally on the shoulder. “You better join her.”He laughs when Wally flips him off.Wally lays down next to Maddie, his eyes never left hers. His hands reached up to hers, their fingers almost touched and Maddie smiled at him.Rhonda, Quinn, Charley, and Yuri soon join the group and they lay on the fluffy blanket pile.“The stars are beautiful tonight.” Nicole says.“Yeah,” Maddie said while looking at Wally. “They sure are.”They started to point at the stars while making comments about the constellation.“There’s Orion.” Charley pointed and Maddie chuckled.She soon fell asleep, completely safe in Wally’s presence.
