In-Laws
A loud squeal echoes throughout the school's halls. Several teachers look up from their work. Immediately, Balam-sensei bolted out the door. He'd recognize that sound anywhere.
Having grown up hearing that sound, he knew exactly who it was. He bursts into the library, looking around. His mother squeezes his tiny spouse in a hug.
"Oh, you're just adorable! How in hell did Shichiro find you? You're just too cute!" His mother gushed excitedly.
His father loomed behind the two. An equally curious look on his face. Honestly, he didn't know what to say. You squirmed a bit in his mother's grip and offered him a small wave.
"Mother... Father... I wasn't expecting you." He said slowly. "How could we not come? I want to talk to our cute new family member." She nuzzles you, and his father grunts in agreement.
Shichiro can't help but shift nervously on his talons. He felt rather embarrassed by his parents' behavior. "Mother..." She looks up. "Hmm?" "Please return my spouse."
He reached out for you with his clawed hands, but his mother moved you away. "Nooo! It's not fair that you get them all the time!" She whines.
You laugh, amused. His father plucks you from his wife's hold. You settle on his shoulder happily. A gleeful smile on your face as you look down at him. You must have been enjoying the height and the feeling of looking down at him from your perch.
He groans. "Father, please." He eyes you nervously. Worried about if you were to fall from such a height. He never expected his parents to be so interested in you.
He should have known better, though. You just had a way of drawing demons in. Iruma was the same way like parent like child.
