"Happy Valentine's Day" read the note laying on the box of chocolates. Shouma studied the note carefully– the handwriting too neat and proper to be detected. The note and chocolates weren't here when he went to sleep the might before, so who could have left it here? His first thought was Sachika, since she was the only other person who had the keys to Hapipare. He opened it carefully, admiring the exquisite chocolates that sat pretty in the box. These chocolates were too fancy to be just be giri Choco, which means that there could only be one other person that could have left this. His boyfriend, Karakida Hanto.Shouma puts the box down and sighs. He wasn't on the best terms with Hanto at the moment, especially with the revelation of him being a child of the Stomach Inc. family. Since then, they haven't talked– not about their relationship, not about anything. And Shouma understood why he would be so upset. He knew from the start that Hanto trusted him because he thought Shouma was a human, and Shouma led him on, even being romantically involved with him. He wasn't ready to let Hanto know, and now he had to pay the price of betraying that trust. Still, Shouma was more or less positive that the chocolates were from Hanto, and it gave him some sort of relief that Hanto still cared to give him chocolates for Valentine's Day.Shouma wanted to take this chance to talk to Hanto, to apologize and make up for his mistakes. But when he took out his phone, he saw a bunch of posts on Twitter of someone that looked awfully like him, dressed in all black, beating up an old lady. "What the..." He mumbles as watches a few more of these videos, of "him" beating up the old lady. Well it wasn't him, but it had the same face, the same hair, it looked exactly like Shouma. Disturbed, Shouma decided to go out to investigate, and then he chanced upon a road accident. A crowd were gathering there and they talked about "him". Shouma had his hood up so that people can't recognize his face, but the bright coloured clothes was a dead giveaway for Hanto. "What are you doing here?" Hanto's voice surprises Shouma. Shouma dare not look into his eyes, too guilty about the past events. But Hanto didn't seem mad. He seemed relief. "At least now I know that wasn't you..." He sighs.Before he knew it, Shouma was walking with Hanto to a nearby building to talk it out. To talk about them and to make amends. And they talked it out. About Shouma's past– everything Hanto should've known about him before they even started working together. And Hanto was patient, listening to him all the way. "I'm going to trust you, for you, Shouma." Hanto says, lifting the huge weight off of Shouma's heart. He immediately wraps his arms around Hanto and he feels the latter return the hug. "Thank you, Hanto... Thank you... I won't hide anything from you anymore. I want to be a good partner and a good boyfriend to you." Shouma says firmly, a new resolution settling in.There was a moment of comfortable silence between the two as they hug it out and when they finally pull away, Shouma finally decides to ask about the chocolates. "Hey... I found a box of chocolates at Hapipare this morning...." He starts, but Hanto cuts him off, a little sheepish. "Oh yeah, those were from me. I asked Sachika to give it to you. She wanted me to give it to you myself, but somehow I managed to convince her..." He sighs, "I didn't expect us to make up so fast, but I already bought those for you a while before, so I just wanted to give them to you still. For Valentine's day at least. But now that we're here, Happy Valentine's Day, Shouma." He ends off with a slight smile. Shouma was ecstatic. Even with everything that was going on, Hanto still cared for him, loved him enough to want to give him a Valentine's present. And Shouma on the other hand doesn't have anything. He was too caught up with the conflict that he forgot about Valentine's. But at this moment, he felt the need to pull something out for Hanto. "Happy Valentine's Day Hanto!" He whips out a handful of Chocodons– around 16– and passed it to Hanto. "These are from the chocolates you gave me. It will be able to last you quite a while." Hanto laughs. "Wow, you finished them all already?" And Shouma nods earnestly, "They tasted really good." Hanto let's out a huff and smile "Well, they better be, because they were pretty expensive... But anyway thanks for these," Hanto says as he puts the Gochizos away, "they sure are a great Valen-tine present." He smirks slightly at his own joke. It was too coincidental that Shouma:s present to him was for him to transform into Valen more, and Hanto just had to bring up a Valen reference at least. Shouma laughs and hugs Hanto again. "Thats right! a Valentines gift for Valen. It's perfect!"Despite all the problems lately, Shouma was at least happy he'd get to have a nice Valentine with Hanto. He was happy that they were able to talk it out and spend this lovely day for couples with each other, and he hopes that nothing will come between them again, and even it does, he would overcome it, with Hanto, the best boyfriend and partner he could ever ask for.
