It’s Thursday after school, which means volleyball practice... for some people...
“Atsumu, what do you mean you can't make it to practice?!” Osamu asked his twin, clearly confused. “We have Testing next week and I have to study for my preview tomorrow, just tell Kita-san I can't make it to practice.” Atsumu said to his twin as he grabbed his things and walked to a bus stop. As Atsumu walked away, his twin headed to the gym and explained why his brother wouldn't be able to make it. "What do you mean he left to study? We have a game tonight! If Atsu isn’t here, who will be our setter?" Aran asked, feeling conflicted about Atsumu's decision. "Is that all he said?" Kita replied as he finished getting dressed and tied his shoes. The rest of the team looked at him in confusion. "You know why he's leaving? And you didn't tell us?!" Everyone knew how much Suna hated secrets and snarky comments, so it was no surprise that he was a bit upset. Kita explained, “Some schools thought it would be a good idea to organize students into study groups where everyone would have the same classes and learn the same material. Atsumu was one of many placed in such a study group, which gives him a free pass to skip practice.” With that, Kita stood up and walked out of the locker room. “Honor’s classes... Atsu told me about that last week.” Akagi said to the others as he finished tying his shoes and ran after Kita. The others wrapped up what they were doing and headed to practice.
At the study group building
“I had to teach grade school, and those kids were wild! I hope next week’s student teaching experience is better than last week’s.” Yaku said as he took notes on chemistry. "Dealing with middle school is even worse; the students argue about everything. It really feels like a war zone! Atsumu can vouch for me on that!" Daishou exclaimed while reading his calculus book. "Unfortunately, I can agree, and it’s horrendous there. Also, Yaku, I won’t be on the agenda for middle school next week. Have fun teaching middle school science." Atsumu said teasingly. The group talked for hours as they studied. Shirabu and Oikawa engaged in a debate, while Sugawara and Yachi discussed about their team. Komori and Daishou shared the notes they had missed, and Akaashi chatted with Kuroo about science. A normal day thing they do every time but someone is missing… the only person who never showed up. "Hey Kiyo, you missed this week's study session again," Komori said to his cousin on the phone as he walked back to the train station. "I understand your situation, but you keep asking me to bring you notes and the teaching agenda. Kiyo, you have to make it to at least one session." "Fine, I'll try, okay? But can you bring me the notes? I'm kind of behind.” Kiyoomi replied, sitting in his room. "Fine, but promise you’ll be there next time," Komori said. "I will," Kiyoomi assured him.
