There was a bubbling sound, like a thick liquid breaking into smaller and smaller bubbles, a low electric hiss accompanied by shuffled voices. At first, everything was shrouded in darkness, but soon afterward, everything was brightly illuminated.
Whirlpools of light accompany the, and the luminance appears to pull closer. A voice, something unfamiliar, calls out for the light. Five digits on a servo are called out for the light until it engulfs them.
“
Greetings
."
A voice spoke, softened by a buzzing sound. Vision is still adapting to the surroundings. A pool of thick, radiant blue liquid, its contents sliding down the plating that gradually transformed from a white to a yellowish coloring, giving it form. A frame, a faceplate, legs, and arms.
Subtle motions of the legs, slightly sideways in a haze.
Who was he? What place is this?
The queries were paused as he felt a tap on his shoulder plate.
“I know. It's a little weird," came a voice from his left. It was a different voice than the previous one, more casual and comforting. Switching focus to his side, he saw a red bot with horns stuck to his helm and orange optics supporting him by the arms.
“You get used to it. I've gotten used to it myself and I've just emerged!" He chuckles, lightly patting his shoulder plate. He slightly tilts his head in a haze.
“Come, newspark," the voice from earlier approaches, his vision getting more precise and clearer. The frame in front of him was a tall, green, and yellow figure with a visor and antennae at the corners of her helm, yellow optics. Two water thrusters strapped to her back with what looked like a backpack on her back. “Welcome to the world." She extends a servo.
He hesitates a little before accepting, having a better view of
his
servo. A yellow palm with dark metallic digits, almost black. She and the one in red help him get out of the liquid, being able to stand on a platform from which he emits metallic sounds like a
THUMP
.
“What took him so long?" Another voice sounded, more resonant and more stern. "And why three of them?" The small bot diverts attention to the new voice. The figure had a dark coloring of dark blues, a crimson visor, and a face mask obscuring his face. A pair of wings linked to his back. He approached the green aquatic mech in front of him, leaning closer, causing her to step back.
“This is a rare phenomenon, I've never seen anything like this before either." She said. The one in red stood between him and the larger mech, a defensive stand.
Three of us?
The small newspark surveyed the surroundings, spotting another bot that seemed reluctant to join in. White paint with purple or black details, purple optics, and horns larger than the red one.
He tries to wave with an inquisitive smile, though the other bot just snorts, crossing their arms and not making optical contact. The yellow bot didn't understand, but he felt something in his chassis that appeared to hurt.
He had processed so much at the moment that he couldn't even pay attention to what the bigger mechs were saying. He mentally knew words, terms, and possibly even how to speak. However, something inside him still prevented him from saying anything, as if he sensed it wasn't the right time yet. He felt an impulse to scratch his servos in response to his uneasiness of not comprehending what was ensuing.
The red bot caught this, resetting its vocalizer to get the bigger mechs' attention. "Oh, yeah." She turns back towards them with the darker bot, both of them facing the three smaller bots. “I know you're all questioning some things right now. Just know that at this very moment, you were forged from what we call The Well of Allsparks!” She opened her arms wide around her frame.
The three of them looked around at the monumental enclosure, which featured platforms that led to additional entrances just above the pool they were in. Small holes dotted the walls, from which orbs of energy and blue light drifted down, casting a glow on the thick, bubbling liquid below.
“You three are…” She pauses, glancing at them curiously, she looks back at the larger mech and the three again, clutching her servos together. "Peculiar. In all my
decavrons
alive I have never seen anything like you three. You three are the first cataloged spark triplets to exist.” As she says this, the dark mech takes out a data pad from his subspace, appearing to write something down on it.
“What are we?" Politely asked the red one. The green bot gave him a welcoming smile.
“You are newly emerged Cybertronians. But you are also what is known as spark siblings, a rare type I would say."
Hearing this, the white sibling smiles. He looks at them. "You mean we're special?" They extend a servo with a raised digit.
“No. It just means that you are rare. Don't expect special treatment." The larger mech states crudely, approaching the face of the one in white, making them shrink. “Not that your size could make you considerable to the upper classes." He mocks.
“Don't pay attention to him,
Primus
always has a purpose for each of us. Now, before we can leave this hall, you will be given your designation names.”
“
Designation names..?
" The one in yellow finally spoke, softly, almost in a bashful whisper, the one in red looked at him curiously.
“Well, they're more like temporary names." She says rubbing the lower corner of her helm. "Starting from the one that emerged first to the last." She walks to the front of the one in white. "Designation A-125," she passes by the one in red, "C-126," and finally, the yellow one. “B-127.” She pauses in front of him.
He blinked his optics a few times and tilted his head to the side. "Is that- is that my name?" he asked, pointing to himself. She smiled at him and patted his helm gently.
“Until an official name is assigned to you, that is how you will be referred to." She says with a soft smile, trailing her digits down to just below his chin. "And for you three, you will refer to me as Springdiver.”
He felt a comfortable feeling inside his chassis, he brought his servo closer to it. The other two glanced at him responding in the same way.
“The three of you share a piece of the same Spark, what one feels the others will feel as well.” She says looking at each of them with a proud smile and a servo to the spark. "It means that you share the same pain, and sometimes the same sensations.”
“
Oooh
..." B stares at her in awe, looking at his chassis and his two siblings, who are doing the same.
Share sensations? Could this be what he felt about A earlier? Did they feel... bored? Annoyed?
B-127 glanced at A-125, they were just admiring themselves with a sharp smile and didn't give a mind about what others said.
The larger mech resets his vocalizer, bringing their attention with his arms folded in wait. The three look at him somewhat intimidated, A-124 tries to remain firm but fails. Springdiver chuckles.
“And this is my superior, Dartcross.” She waves a servo in his direction. “Now, you will be taken to the academy and then my home, where I will take care of you and educate you about our society, our home." She turns her back and begins to step out the door, followed by the three of them.
The larger mech finishes writing on his datapad and stores it back in his subspace, remaining right behind them. A-125 clutches onto C-126's shoulder plates, feeling uncomfortable with the larger, hulking mech following them.
B-127 appeared more curious to see what existed out there, beyond the Well of Allsparks, his new home, this new world. His large blue optics are like those of an insect, contrasting with his small soft horns compared to those of his siblings. He was already full of curiosities and wonders.
Outside their room were passageways with more gates, from which other mechs and newly emerged bots appeared, all equally curious or lost and heading in different paths.
B examined everything, from the frigid metal walls with strange alien engravings to the elevators leading to higher levels, no matter how high they were. Small stations provided essential transportation to further destinations.
The five of them approached a station where a large mobile transport awaited them on platforms that formed a path in both directions. The five bots enter one of the transport cabins, meeting more newly emerged bots and their guardians. All are in various shapes, colors, faces, and modes. C and B tilt their helms as they spot two identical bots that resemble them in color. One of these bots has yellow and black crests on the sides of its helm.
The other two notice them. B waves, and the red one waves back with an awkward smile. C and B exchanged glances and chuckled, while A rolled their optics, arms folded over their chassis. Soon, after a few moments, the cabin doors close, and the transport begins to shake.
B could feel the cabin swaying beneath his feet. It was stationary, yet somehow still in motion. He comes to the closest window, looking at the direction the transport was heading in front of. As each move was made, a path of magnetic platforms formed. This predetermined path moved forward, sometimes in a straight line, other times turning or undulating in waves.
Soon the blue, fluorescent sight of the Well of Allsparks vanished between the tunnels, with solely the lights around it to radiate the way, but soon a more radiant glow came. B shielded his optics with a servo.
Blinded by the bright light, B lowers his servo and finds himself facing a sight far more beautiful than the Well. Massive structures loomed above them, each one shining in shades of gold and bronze. Several tracks and platforms scattered around, flying vehicles passing nearby and moving in several directions.
It was beautiful.
“Welcome to Iacon City." Springdiver places a servo on B-127's shoulder plate. He tilts his helm towards her, a huge smile full of curiosity on his face. C and A looked mesmerized by this city too, the same thing with the others in the cabin.
Dartcross stands in the middle of the cabin, calling everyone's attention with a stomp.
THUMK
! Everyone looks in his direction, guardians and newly emerged alike.
“As the mech responsible for the performance of each of you, I must guarantee that everything is ideal and in accord with the diagrams about each of you." He held a datapad, “As the first essential information for each of you, you are Transformers, you have the power to transform. Each one of you were born with a base auto-mode, a vehicle that Primus himself decided for you.” He slides a digit on the data pad, "Once we get to the academy, you'll be taught how to use your auto-mode. I don't want to hear any objections or whining because it's not an auto-mode you like!" He says pointing to each of the bots in a somewhat rude tone, as if it wasn't the only time this happened.
Springdiver rolls her optics. “Behave yourselves, obey the regulations that will be given to each of you, and your first lessons as newly emerged will be given.” He goes through each of them, giving each of them a small data pad that had their designation on it, the rest of it was still blank.
B looks at the data pad and Dartcross, lifting a servo. "E-excuse me…” Dartcross pauses and slowly turns towards B, "C-can I ask you some questions..?" Dartcross turns completely towards him. "What is this
Primus
you mentioned? I-if it's not rude to ask.” Dartcross let out an irritated growl.
“
You newsparks are so...
" He mutters under his breath, rolling his optics behind the visor, Springdiver glares at him as if reprimanding him for acting like this, shutting him up, "
Primus
is our creator, our planet, Cybertron. That's where we came from, now don't ask me any more foolish questions." He points almost in B's face. B nods quietly, remaining silent for the rest of the trip with optics focused on his dataped.
“There's nothing wrong with asking, soon you'll know everything you need dear," Springdiver says in a caring way, her smile making B more relaxed. B-127 glances out the window again alongside his siblings. C puts an arm around his shoulder plates shaking him lightly while A just admires the view in silence not seeming to be a fan of physical affection.
B could see through the window several holographic screens displaying various things with a language alien to him. from popular products, silhouettes of figures he didn't recognize, marketing for some kind of racing competition and one featuring a lighter figure, blue with orange tones and wings.
There were words displayed in the bottom center of the screen, he didn't understand them, but two words, a name perhaps, were displayed very clearly.
“
Sentinel Prime
." Springdiver says beside them, "he is our acclaimed leader and Prime. You will learn more about him soon, dears.” she smiles. His emotional field almost screamed with comfort, as if she was hugging him without contact.
He smiled back, sharing his comfort with his siblings. He felt that as long as he had her, things would be easy for him. His siblings, even though they were quiet, felt the same way.
This would be their new home, the city of Iacon. And they would discover more about themselves and this world together. Whatever this new world brought them, B was sure it would be amazing.
==========================
From a distance, one could see the train coming from the Well of Allsparks, bringing a new generation of Cybertronians. Several bots commented on their arrival, while others went about their lives and carried on with their duties. Among these bots, one seemed the most distracted, reading something on a data pad while enjoying some energon cubes.
Red torso, blue arms and legs, a blue helm with small antennae. He, even though he was distracted, didn't seem to bump into anyone, avoiding everyone who passed by him and greeting him casually, as if it wasn't the first time he had done so.
“Pax!" Called a voice close to him that caught his attention, turning around he found himself with a red mech the same size as him, a window in its chassis. “What are you reading this time that you're so glued to your screen?" He walks over to take a look. It was an ancient story about two warriors destined to hate each other but who wished no harm to the other.
“No big deal, Ironhide." Said the mech. Orion Pax, was his name. An archivist at Iacon's library, always getting lost in the stories he had free access to. “It's just another old tale from the age of the Primes." He said putting away the data pad and finishing his energon cubes. "But what about you? Any arrests today?" The two friends continue walking, chatting. Ironhide was an officer and Orion's friend for almost a whole
kilovron
.
“Nothing much, just some punks up to mischief again." He sighs, "The newly emerged ones are already here, you know?" He tilts his helm, looking at Orion.
“Oh, was it today?" He looks at the train that was already further away by this point, "oops, I guess I've been distracted lately. Several new files have arrived and I still need to organize them all.” He says, he shows that he was carrying a backpack full of new files. "I need to take some to the Academy too, because apparently I'm the
only one
who does this job properly." He smiles, rolling his optics. The two friends laugh.
“Well, I need to get back to my patrol, I have a new cadet to finish training today and I don't want to be late." He waves away. After reaching a safe distance from Orion, it transforms, piece by piece, into a rectangular van-like vehicle, heading towards the street that leads to a road platform. Orion shakes his head with a smirk, going back to reading the story on his data pad.
More bots greet him until he reaches Iacon's library. A huge circular building in the center of the city, in the front yard there was a golden statue of a mecha, two curved horns and a long cape, a collar that formed a triangle that went from the chin to chest, holding a rectangular item, almost like a data pad, in one hand and a thin item like a pen in the other. He swipes an access card on a security device, allowing the doors to open and him to enter.
Inside the building, several huge shelves with pads of files and books, all organized by theme and alphabetical order. Orion nodded to the secretary at the entrance and went to the rest of the shelves, arranging each pad in its proper place, and then separating the ones that had been rented to the academy.
Books on history, geography, language, science, and others that would be extremely important for the development of a newspark. Newly emerged Cybertronians are not born knowing everything, just basic language and movement. They need to be taught what is necessary to live on Cybertron, and who knows, even in the other colonies, although that would be rare to happen.
Colonies did not have the Well of Allsparks, but each of them had their own way of creating new Cybertronians. Other cities too. Although, Orion didn't know how these things worked, it wasn't public knowledge, it's just known that it's something that happens, but he's never met Transformers created in any way other than the well.
Orion spent the whole day organizing everything he thought would be important for the newsparks. Their learning would be important, and he loved seeing knowledge being spread to a new generation.
After a long time he gathers everything into a large box outside the library, sealing it carefully. Taking a few steps back, he transforms into a truck-like vehicle, connecting with the box in its compartment holder and starting to take the materials to the academy. It only took half an hour to get to the destination, it wasn't too far or difficult to get to. He did almost hit a white and green with red lines mech that was driving dangerously on the street on the way, followed by an "
Sorry!
" from them. But other than that, he had a safe trip there.
The academy contained flags representing the thirteen colonies of Cybertron, the same number as the Primes,
the legendary warriors of Primus
who began life on Cybertron. The building was large and contained several locations, a track for the newsparks to train their auto-modes, the quarters for both the newsparks and their teachers. And in the center of the entrance there was a golden statue, just like the library. A mech that carried a double blade, a pair of wings larger than its frame, and wing-like antennae.
Sentinel Prime
.
Orion paused, de-transforming to admire the statue of the current Prime, leader of Cybertron and Iacon City. The one who maintains order on the planet alongside the other leaders of Cybertron and the senators. But a Prime was most important, a title given only to those with the potential for leadership, chosen either by the Primes themselves or by the legendary Matrix of Leadership.
Orion, you are a nerd
. He thought, chuckling to himself. He continued on to the academy where he would meet someone in charge of the library there, someone he knew personally.
“You're late." Said a stoic voice which made Pax smile and roll his optics, turning to find a mech that looked like him, but with shades of white, blue and green. He held a data pad and pen in his servos, staring at him with a serious gaze.
“Come on, I think I came at the right time." He says with a smile, leaning on the box. "You should stop being such a strekler, Magnus.” the one in white raises an optic ridge, "Look, the classes don't start until tomorrow, there's no need to be upset that I arrived "late." He raises his digits in parentheses.
The white mech sighs, "Okay, but next time don't be late, Pax." He begins to rummage through the materials in the box.
“Thanks, brother." He says helping to search. Magnus Ambus and Orion Pax are both spark brothers, Magnus became an archivist at the academy, focusing on enforcing rules and regulations in place. In a way they are both very similar, but also different. Pax is more carefree and Magnus is more by the rules. They couldn't be more different.
With each material analyzed, Magnus checked them on his pad, in addition to reorganizing them into piles, unlike the mess that Orion refused to tidy up. Orion looked around, the train had just arrived half an hour ago, several mechs were accompanied by newsparks. All in a variety of colors, sizes and frames. A smile spread across Orion, these newsparks were close to discovering themselves and their places on Cybertron.
He could see an aquatic mech, green with yellow. He waves from a distance and she, after checking her mentees, sees him and waves back with a smile. He knew some of the mentors present here, they regularly visited the archives or he graduated with them from the academy
kilovrons
ago. He was more outgoing while Magnus was more reclusive in his studies. This ensured Orion became close to other mechs.
After organizing everything, Magnus straightens up, "Alright, looks like everything is here," He says it back at Orion, "except for this." He takes out a pad and throws it towards Orion, who grabs it with his servos. "Orion, I already told you not to mix your
fictions
with the material!" He lowers the volume, so as not to disturb the others around.
“Oh! Is that where it went?" He laughs nervously, picking up the pad and putting it away in his subspace. “So, is everything there? I didn't forget anything else, right?" He changes the subject.
Magnus sighs and checks the data pad again, "There are a few books missing, but that's enough for now, just remember to bring the missing ones next time.” Orion sighs in relief. Magnus begins walking with Orion following him with the materials in the box, being elevated by a floating platform. The use of auto-modes inside the academy was prohibited, so they went on by foot.
Orion followed his brother to the academy, greeting several members and newsparks with his natural charisma. Many didn't wave back and others just ignored him, but he didn't seem to care, he was known to be stubborn when he emerged. Always ignoring rules and doing whatever he wanted, he had repercussions, but that never stopped him. He was more mature after a
kilovron
as an archivist, but he still had that rebellious spirit in him.
After taking the materials with Magnus to the local library, he was dismissed by Magnus, "Your work here is done, you are dismissed." He says, placing the pads in their places. Orion, however, stayed.
“I could help you out, this seems like a lot for just one mech." He says, picking up the pads and helping him organize. Magnus tries to protest but gives up, knowing full well that Orion isn't the type to give up on helping. The two spent the rest of the half hour organizing everything until it was time for Orion to go. "Well, that's my cue. See you later, brother." He says, waving at Magnus, who nods with a slight smile. This made Orion smile proudly at himself, seeing Magnus smile was a prize in itself.
Leaving the library he could see Iacon through the windows, it was almost sunset and the golden hue of the city shone brightly in his optics. He smiles seeing the stunning beauty of his home, but that Was something that caught his attention. There was a bot in the entrance garden, staring at the sunset in a trance near Sentinel’s statue.
Orion tilted his helm, even with the distance, it wouldn't be difficult to recognize someone from where he was, but he didn't recognize this one. He didn't look for long, leaving the building to meet this bot, which was still there. Looking closely, it was clear that it was a newspark. "Hey?" The little one’s shoulders jumped, slowly turning its helm towards him.
Yellow paint, small horns, big blue eyes staring right at him. A curious look, servos close to his chassis. “
H-hi..?
” He speaks softly. Orion pauses for a few seconds, tilting his helm to the side, the little one does the same. Orion chuckles, dropping to one knee to his level.
“It's beautiful, isn't it?" He looks towards the sunset, the little one looks too. "I remember my first day here, I also stopped to watch the sun set.” The little one lets out a
wow
of wonder. Orion smiles in his direction, "What is your designation little one?" He asks gently.
The little one pauses, touching his digits together shyly. "B-127." He answers quietly, he doesn't make eye contact, Orion smiles noticing B’s bashfulness.
“Orion Pax," he stands up, making him look at him from his height, he was twice as tall as him. "Good luck here, little guy." He says, giving him a pat on the helm. Orion walks past him towards the academy exit. "Trust me, you're going to need it." He laughs and waves at him. B-127 waves back at him shyly, with a smile.
He walked towards the exit, hearing more voices behind him, well, just one. He glanced over, another newspark appeared running towards B, a red one of similar height and slightly larger horns. Compared to the little interaction Orion had with him, he seemed more comfortable talking to this other newspark. Looking more clearly, it was clear that they could be siblings. They had minor similarities, but were different enough to be their own bots. It reminded him a little of himself and Magnus.
With a smile on his face he retreats to the road ahead, transforming into his auto-mode and driving back to the library, his shift there wasn't over yet, he had at least a few hours left. This day wasn't the most exciting, but who knows, maybe tomorrow or the day after? It's always something interesting with newsparks, especially with curious minds like this little one. Only time would tell.
Coming to a stop, Orion paused to admire Iacon, the sun finally setting in the background, Iacon's golden colors being dipped by a more purple hue that degraded into a black blue of night. Thousands of stars screaming across the sky, Cybertron's two moons rising with their own light reflecting silver on Iacon. The lights of the buildings turned on as it got dark, the lights of the roads also turned on every second near them.
The holographic screens showing the image of Sentinel Prime, mentioning the upcoming senatorial elections and The Prime Day celebration, followed by Iacon's slogan. “
Till All Are One
”
Iacon
was
perfect. Cybertron
was
perfect. This is what Orion knew since emergence. And that's what he always knew.... For now.
==========================
Iacon
IS
perfect. Perfectly built to live up to the image of perfection of its current Prime, Sentinel Prime.
The mech looked out the window of his palace, a tower in the center of Iacon. Blue paint with gold and orange accents, wings attached to its back. Yellow eyes with blue irises, reflecting the gold of Iacon that changed to a strong silver with the reflection of the moonlight.
He, surrounded by the golden statues of the thirteen Primes, one of them covered by a large cloth that obscured its figure, admired his city, which he had worked for a
kilovron
to keep perfect and untouched.
His
perfect vision.
Sentinel kept his arms behind his back, just enjoying the direct view of the academy that was only a few kilometers away.
“My Prime." A firm voice called him, turning back, a red mecha with white details, face plate and golden eyes remained in posture, "you called me here." He said.
“Ah, yes, Star Saber." He says approaching his chair right in front of one of the statues, a sturdy one that rested its servos on the barrel of a sword, a helm that resembled a crown and a neutral expression like the other statues. “You have been summoned because I need your assistance. We are close to the Prime Day celebration, you know how important this day is.” he crosses the digits together, resting his chin on his servos.
“Yes, my Prime. A celebration of when the Primes gave themselves the Allspark. A day of remembrance." He glances at the covered statue across the table, "at least for one of them." He says in a venomous tone. "What should I prepare for you?”
“As my best warrior, I understand that you take your job seriously, but as a Prime I know that many would take an important day like this to challenge me. This wouldn't be the first time." Sentinel shifted in his chair, taking a data pad in his hands, "I want you to hire the best scientists available, I'm going to need better security.”
“But, my Prime, my forces can protect you. What could mere scientists do?" He protests, Sentinel just stares at him coldly, silencing him.
“I don't doubt your
subordinates
are good at what they do to keep me safe from
potential traitors
," Star Saber tensed when told this. Sentinel glances back thoughtfully, "but I need mechs who follow my
every word
. I don't want the same mistake to happen like
last time
." He gives Star Saber a cold stare. The red mech glances at the ground. “I want these scientists to guarantee me protection that I can maintain control over. No mind to make decisions, no betrayals." A tiny smile spreads across his face. “I want them to create soldiers strong enough to protect me, I don't have confidence in all
your
soldiers.”
He stares at him with cold and venomous optics, Star Saber looks deep into them seeing the slightest hint of disgust in his superior's gaze. He knew
who
he was referring to. “My Prime, that was just once and a long time ago! We don't even know if
he's
still around-”
“
Silence!
" He slams a servo at the table. "Don't disrespect me! I gave you this position and I can very well take it away from you." He straightens up again, "bring me the best scientists you have," he slides the data pad on the table towards Saber's direction. “I already have some peaks.” Saber takes the data pad from the sarvos and starts reading them, two profiles were highlighted.
A purple mecha with white and green details, a scientist known for having helped in the advancement of train transportation, also known for his help in founding the Keon Academy of Sciences. The other is extremely well known for his weapon inventions and his popularity in reusing spare parts for them, this mech was from Iacon, an easy and close choice.
“Are you sure you really need this sir?" He asks, Sentinel remains silent, just staring at him coldly, He raises an optic crest like telling him to get out. Star Saber sighs before resetting his vocalizer, "I will do as you ask, my Prime.” He says taking the data pad and leaving the room after a bow on the way out.
Sentinel stands up and turns to face the statue behind his chair. "You never get tired of judging me, do you?” He stared at the statue for what seemed like hours, but to him it was just seconds. "I won't risk being defenseless, I'm not like you, Zeta." He turns his back to the statue and looks out the window again. "Cybertron no longer belongs to
you
. It belongs to me.” He was reflected in the glass, "I will not tolerate mistakes, imperfections or whatever stupid vision
you
had.” He laughs, "If it weren't for just
one
detail..." He clenches his fists.
"
You won't hide from me so easily
.”
