It was at the end of the school day as Runt sat on the school bus heading home, throughout the day the holiday of love was celebrated by the elementary school pups, although it was just playful pup fun celebrating a holiday Runt couldn't help but wonder if he will get a special girl to celebrate the holiday with,he was hoping he could experience what his Mom and Dad have. Several minutes later Runt arrived to his home and pulled out his house keys,keys that were given to him by Humphrey,he unlocked the door and opened in only to hear laughing and a familiar male voice speaking "homina homina."it sounded like his father Runt clothes the door and immediately went further into the home "Mom...Dad?"he called our "Runt?!"Kate exclaimed in surprise as Runt came into the kitchen to see Kate and Humphrey on the opposite side of the tabe,Humphrey was behind Kate embracing her with his arms wrapped around her stomach he was wearing a plaid shirt with jeans and she was wearing a white shirt with leggings "hey buddy,how was school?"Humphrey said with a sheepish forced laughed as Kate smiled innocently "it went normally we past out Valentine's Day cards and candy,i got a few."Runt said with a smile "Aww how cute."Kate said with a giggle as Runt summoned the courage to say what he needed."Mom Dad do you think I'll ever get a girlfriend?"Runt asked curiously "maybe someday... I don't have precognition."Humphrey said "well it's just that i wonder if I'll get what you and mom have or Uncle Garth and Aunt Lilly,or Claudette and Fleet."Runt asked making Humphrey narrow his eyes at the mention of Claudette and Fleet "and what exactly does Claudette and Fleet have?"he asked "you know someone to love and all that mushy stuff,will i get a girlfriend...and maybe a wife?"Runt asked "Well...like your father said maybe, but you're a handsome boy who's going to grow up to be a handsome wolf,with a great sense of humor."Kate said as Humphrey nodded "yeah i mean, there's a chance that due to some girls being so picky on who they want to date a girl will never date you and if they do it won't last long and you'll grow old and die alone..."Runt's eyes widened in shock and surprise as Kate gritted her teeth and she tensed up suddenly making Humphrey stop talking "Honey why are you worrying about that right now you're 10 years old,a little too young to be thinking about dating don't you think?"Kate asked making Runt scratch his head in confusion as he thought maybe she was right "you'll cross the dating bride when you come to it right now focus on being a 10 Year old."Kate said with a smile as Runt nodded in agreement then he felt the need for a drink of apple juice "i need Apple Juice, school milk taste like sweat."Runt said as he walked towards the fridge which Humphrey and Kate were standing near.Humphrey and Kate scooted away from the fridge in a funny way which Runt noticed then without breaking the embrace then did a roll off the kitchen table and to the other side, Runt gave them a bewildered expression as Humphrey and Kate just smiled sweating rivers, "are you guys alright?"Runt asked "yep yep we are fine Runt,no worries."Humphrey said with a strained tone Runt grabbed his apple juice and started to drink it until he saw a quarter under the table. "Hey a Quarter."Runt said getting under the table to get it until he heard Humphrey and Kate's voice, "ow don't pinch me."Kate hissed "you were squeezing too hard." Humphrey complained "zip your trap next time."Kate responded as Runt picked up the quarter and looked at his parents who smiled "Ok... I'm going to go to my room." "Close your door and don't come out until we say so, don't ask why, it'll take a minute."Humphrey said as Runt went upstairs to his room and closed the door.Runt started to eat his cand and drink his juice reading a comic until he heard both his parents shout in unison "awooga!" Runt glanced at his door in confusion before turning back to his book "my parents are weirdos."Runt muttered.The End
