I
The gorgon
If he be PerseusI
Maleficent,
blood-thirsty,
and hideousAye,
Circe am I
Mouthpiece
of beastsHe
my Odysseus
Trust and lust
amidstFire
he kindled
My icy blood
he thawedOnly I
were now
turned beast
At me
frailty gnawedThere
exposed
I knelt
On a moon dust plinthSun itself
was he
I
Bull of the void
core of his labyrinth
