Nova leaning onto the luxurious looking car and smiled as he sent the text, wondering if it annoyed her or not. "It definitely annoyed her hehe," Nova thought with a mischievous expression painted on his face. He immediately stopped smiling after he heard a few passerbys saying he was creepy looking at his phone, avoiding to make unwanted accusations. "I should probably take her stuff out and straight head to the break room." He puts his phone away and starts doing his jobHe wonder how long this would take...(人*´∀｀)｡*ﾟ+ after a whileNova has been standing beside the door, leaning againts the wall and observing every corner to make sure no danger lurking around. it has been five hours, should I contact the bodyguard to see if she's alright? He thought, but he didn't wanna be a bother to her and obey her rules. As much as he wants to tease her, he stayed put. Then he sensed her presence and heard footsteps that are similar to heels.He saw Ruby, looking slight exhausted from signing and talking with a lot of her fans. She's that popular huh? Anyway, words came out of his mouth as soon as she comes close."Here comes the princess, say how does it feel like to be in the center of attention?" He teased her. "Trust me, I love them for loving me and if that means I get to inspire them I'd gladly have another fan meeting again." She said it in her usual cocky voice, he LOVES how confident she is. "Alright, enough about that, you should be taking a break now no? And I assure you there's no one around and come here to steal you LOL," Nova said while opening the door and of course, a smile crept in his face. this bastard!!! "who do they think they are to kidnap me anyway ugh, just help me over here!!" Ruby stomping her way inside the break room, a playful grin planted on Nova's face and went inside at the same time. Ruby starts fixing her hair carefully and arrange her jewelries on the table. Nova looked at her in awe, admiring her beauty, "I know I keep her magazines and see her everytime but I can't stop admiring her. She truly is valuable.." He was just staring at her back until Ruby spoke,"Are you okay? You've been looking at me for a while and it's starting to get creepy," She said, she didn't mean the creepy part but she was wondering what he's thinking about. "I'm thinking every possible way to annoy you and make myself your favorite," after the last sentence, he laughed a little, he came close towards Ruby and sat beside her. Her ears was turning red but she immediately covered it with her hair. "Ugh, when will you ever shut up??" She spoke in annoyance, "It's fun to tease you though? Hehe" He said and proceeding to ask questions"What happened with ___? I just realize he's not here and didn't come with you. Did something happen?" He asked in curiosity, wondering why she came alone instead. "Oh no, he wanted to check the if the car's okay. Plus it's been out in the sun for a while, so he wanted to cool inside the car first." She said looking at her mirror, using the reflection as the chance to look over Nova. .......it has been a minute. is he gonna say anything or..? She was getting awkward until- "is there any other reason?" Nova asked, his face looked slightly bit...serious? His tone didn't sound playful. Although, it feels like he knows that Ruby has other intentions."N-no....what do you mean???" She asked turning around to face Nova, making eye contact with him. Nova wasn't smiling, just a blank face but his eyes smiled and said "are you sure? It feels like you have another reason to come here alone, and I'm sure the car has cool down a bit after the sun has set.." There it is, that cheeky ass smile is back again...and her face is turning red.She wasn't sure if she wants to admit it or not but she slowly breaks eye contact and looks down, mumbling "...yes...." Nova wanted to tease further, but he can clearly hear her. "Well, would you care to tell me?" He asked politely, he sensed it was getting a bit too serious than to his liking. He wasn't sure if it's about him working with her or he was actually getting too annoying or- "It's just...I feel a lot safer with you..." She spoke quietly. Nova didn't wanna intervene her speech, so he listened. "Back then, I'd always have to do something back after he does stuff for me. He used to make it like a deal you know? Even if I didn't consent to."....there it is, the word again.

It's been a while since he last heard it. Nova didn't like that word for specific reasons. Even he has done a lot of stuff that a criminal does, despite slaughtering people and causing chaos around, he didn't like it. Not even the slightest. (Lore drop maybe I dunno.)Nova was in serious mode, he doesn't wanna think anything else other than comforting her. But is that it? What is she trying to say? Could it possibly be her simply opening up to him??? yeah....yeah that probably isHe tried his best to read the room and stare at her face carefully, reading her emotions. Ruby felt like she was being stared at, she glanced at Nova, staring at her. Does he even know what she's trying to do? Is he that dumb?!?! She's pretty sure he isn't but what's taking him a while?Nova finally broke the silence."I understand what you're trying to say, Ruby. And I know it must've felt like shit. I assure you that I don't want anything else from you. I don't want you to return any favor to me unless... it's necessary of course, but not in that way. Plus, not everything I've done for you needed to pay back. I simply do because I want to make it easier for you. I wanna do what's right for you and I wanna be careful with you. I don't wanna break any boundaries that you might have.. and I'm trying my best to make you comfortable as possible." He tried his best to show that he's grateful for her and glad she was able to open up, even if it was not so much. Though he felt like his voice was slightly monotone but he didn't mean it. On the other hand, Ruby was left speechless. No way he just said that??? Is this even..HIM???? She needed to snap her mind immediately and think of a response.Yet none came out of her mouth. Her eyes started swelling with tears but quickly looks away to make sure Nova doesn't know. He still knows about it anyway. He placed his cold hands on her hand, her hand was warm and it felt like the temperature has balanced. She was startled how cold his hand was because normally it'd feel slightly warm, not too cold though. He's not the best at comforting, but he's willing to try for her. Only her."I'm...really sorry, I'm not the best at processing my emotions and... it's hard to know what I feel, it's hard to know how others feel. But what I'm feeling right now is genuine, and I'm happy that you trust me enough with this. Even a tiny bit." His gaze softened and his smile turned out to be a lot sweeter than his usual. Ruby stared at him once again, with tears in her eyes. She was just pure shock at this point. He grabbed a nearby tissue box and wiped her tears. "You.... you're embarrassing me right now..!!" She frowned and hiccups are in the way of her speech. He wasn't even trying to make fun of her, but she looked adorable seeing how vulnerable she is in front of him....wait, that sounds wrong. He thought it's nice she was sharing a personal detail of her past with him, marking it as the amount of trust she has in him is high. The higher the chances, he'll get her hell yeah!!! that's besides the point. They sat in silence again for a while, with them still holding hands, not wanting to let go. Time passes by and it was getting pretty late. Nova received a notification from the bodyguard saying he knew Ruby's plan and left early...and he also had other business to do at home. He smiled and asked Ruby "Say princess, wanna go buy korean bbq when we're on our way home?" Ruby looked at him confused."Huh..? Wait....are you telling me ____ left us!?!" She was frowning again, not with a sad expression this time, but she didn't tell him to leave exactly. Nova laughed and said "Calm down, sweetie. I'm strong enough to carry your bags and you. If you don't wanna walk so much especially in that heels... Then you're up for a ride!" He snaps his fingers and all of the stuff that Ruby brought was all in each bags of it's own. "???? How the f-" Nova quickly gave Ruby a kiss on the cheek and swoop her off the seat to carry her, with one arm. (LAWWDDD)"Hey no wait!!! put me downnnn!!!" Ruby got annoyed, but it doesn't bother Nova at all. Then he headed towards the exist and leaving a great impression on people around the city. She did not question about the kiss at all.
