“Adar I presume? My herald tells me you wish to speak with me? That you may have an offer to make me.” The elven high king Ereinion Gil-Galad asks in a confident and calm tone. He stands elegantly and proud, his radiant golden robes reflecting the light cast from the flickering lanterns that illuminate the temporary war tent the elves had erected. Elrond, his herald and acting commander, stands proudly by his side in the centre of the large canvas structure. Their unplanned guest stands across from them, watching them forebodingly like a monochromatic dark shadow, his well worn pewter armour and large odd greatsword at his hip only adding to the imposing figure he portrays as his pale eyes stare piercingly at both the Lindon elves from the entranceway. Unlike the high king who had earlier taken his off, both the Uruk and Elvan commanders are still dressed in their full war armour and are fully equipped with sharp weapons ready and prepared for the upcoming battle if it is still to commence. Gil-Galad had sent Elrond to meet with the opposing leader deep in the Uruks territory only a few hours ago. With the aim to retrieve their captured comrade Galadriel from Adar’s imprisonment and also to try and broker peace between the two species so no conflict would need to occur. The king had expected the negotiations to last well into the evening, even longer if they were able to come to terms. He had not expected, however, for Elrond to return so soon. Or for him to not be alone when he did so. Gil-Galad’s heart had dropped in his chest when his sentries had informed him of the incoming Uruk hoard heading towards their encampment. Fortunately however it was Elrond and not Adar himself who had led the party. And reassuringly Gil-Galad’s scouts had informed him that his herald had looked to have been in charge and totally in control of the situation. Elrond had even been able to ask the hostile creatures to patiently wait outside whilst he quickly informed his king of his return, yet he had not elaborated on why he had brought the Uruk’s and their enigmatic commander back with him. It was a most peculiar situation.“Indeed, I do.” Adar finally replies with a slight rasp to his voice and a pleasant smile on his face, as he fearlessly strides inside the tent and boldly stands before the two elves. “I must say, it is truly an honour to finally meet the renowned golden king of Lindon.” The dark elf says, his hands clasped behind his back as his sharp eyes look Gil-Galad up and down in an assessing manner, as if searching for any weaknesses. Finally they settle on his stoic face as he stares up at the king with an almost awed expression.“You are much bigger in person than I expected.” Adar suddenly adds in an appraising tone. His charming smile then turning ominous as he unclasps his hands from behind his back. An excitable bounce to his heels as he holds out his unarmoured one towards the elven monarch. Gil-Galad stares suspiciously at Adar for a moment before flicking his eyes between the pale hand extending out towards him and at Elrond who is standing by his shoulder watching him with a wary look. Cautiously Gil-Galad also reaches down grasping his hand with his much larger, ring adorned one. The moment he makes contact with him, the creature's fingers snare him in a tight almost possessive hold. The king could instantly feel how strong the Uruk was just from his confident grip, easily far out matching even the mightiest of elves. In fact Gil-Galad thinks if it was anyone other than himself, Adar would have easily broken their bones. And worryingly this was not even his full strength, for the king knows from the way Adar stands, he is holding back. Not to be outdone or appear inferior in any way Gil-Galad also returns the favour, squeezing Adar’s hand with a show of even more strength, his grip even tighter than what the dark elf did to him. The force would have crushed anyone else’s hand into dust, yet Adar just gives him an impressed look as he makes no attempt to pull away or react to the obvious discomfort he must be in.“It is also a pleasure to meet the infamous father of Uruks. I have heard so much about your colourful exploits.” Gil-Galad replies politely yet his smile does not reach his eyes and his body language remains stiff. For Adar’s reputation preceded him, but not in a good way.“Oh no, the pleasure is all mine, high king. I assure you.” Adar says, letting his smile widen. As he does Gil-Galad’s eyes gravitate towards his mouth, surprised to see jagged pointy teeth instead of normal elven ones. As he is momentarily distracted the Uruk suddenly makes a rapid movement. The flash of his eyes dilating and his sharp fangs slipping from his lips the only obvious indication that gave him away, as with another sudden show of power he leans forward and tries to yank the king towards his face. However Gil-Galad quickly reacts and holds his ground, tensing his thickly muscled arm to prevent him moving an inch. The abrupt recoil, knocking Adar off balance and making him falter on the spot before he hastily corrects his feet. The king glares down at him with an instant frown on his face. Offended by the second act of unwarranted dominance towards him. Yet Adar is not cowed; instead he continues to smile, a small chuckle leaving his lips.“My, what strength you have in those bulging biceps of yours,” Adar says as with a new found interest he rakes his gaze over Gil-Galad’s form once more. Examining him even more closely now with a sharp appraising eye. The sudden penetrating look making the king instantly feel naked and uneasy. He blinks his eyes to clear them, focusing back on Adar's odd pale and mutilated face to try and determine what his intentions were. Yet he could not read him, he was so severely un-elven in nature. Adar reminded Gil-Galad more of a feral, unpredictable beast than a person. The expression he wore towards the king was unsettling. He almost felt like he was a small rabbit being locked on to by a ravenous warg. Especially so when the strange looking creature flares his nostrils and licks his lips at him, as if he did actually plan on feasting on him and could already taste his flesh.“Has anyone ever told you, you are abnormally large for an elf?” Adar asks as his pale ice blue eyes stare into Gil-Galad’s own burnt mahogany brown ones intensely. “Even from your bloodline, I have not seen a high elf of your conformation since the first age. If I could not smell your pure Noldor scent assailing my nostrils, I would have thought you have troll blood in your heritage.” Adar says as if it was high praise. Staring expectantly at Gil-galad waiting for him to be flattered, and thank him. Yet the odd words he uses and the look he gives him just unnerves the Lindon high elf greatly instead.“...I am not quite certain if that is meant to be a compliment or an insult, Commander?” Gil-Galad asks cautiously so as not to offend the opposing leader. Though the king can not fathom the reason why Adar would even say such a thing to him other than to be rude and disrespectful. For why would any sane person want to be compared with such a hideous and brutish monster as a troll?“It is a compliment of the highest degree, of course.” Adar says, with a self assured nod. Still smiling as he continues to stare unnaturally towards the king.“I see…” Gil-Galad says slowly, clearing his throat and immediately looking at his herald with a silent plea. Asking for him to intervene and use his diplomatic charms to take over the awkward conversation. Elrond had always had a way with words and handling high risk situations such as these. It was what made him such a good negotiator and one of, if not the best herald in all of Middle-Earth after all. Especially so when it came to dealing with different species. Gil-Galad had always struggled communicating with beings other than elves, he found speaking with the obnoxious dwarves the most difficult of all. How Elrond had even been able to treat, nevermind become good friends with the Durins the king will never know. Even now he does not understand how Elrond had been able to parlay and talk with this strange, cryptic being in front of him. Gil-Galad wonders if this is just Adar’s natural tempremenant and he was like this when Elrond was negotiating with him too or if indeed he has kept his bizarreness for him alone. For even his usual professional herald had been uncharacteristically letting his diplomatic mask slip as he had watched Adar interact with him.Now as he waits for Elrond to talk and hopefully inform him of why the Uruk was even here, the king himself tries to take a step back and tug his hand from the creature's vice-like grip upon him. Though Adar is acting like it is all one big game to him. Sending Gil-Galad playful smiles as he grips his hand tighter and once again tries to slowly pull him towards himself or attempting to unnerve him by stroking his pale calloused finger upon him. Elrond suddenly brings a closed fist up to his mouth and clears his dry throat, looking between Adar and his king with an odd expression, his eyes lingering on their linked hands before he speaks.“My king, at your request Lord Adar and I treated earlier today and spoke at length about the upcoming battle. Unfortunately at first we were unable to come to terms, we had issues concerning the ring and Galadriel's freedom. However Lord Adar proposed a new deal in exchange for a peace treaty and an alliance. I have accepted his terms on the condition that we seek your permission first before proceeding.” Elrond explains briefly. “Where is Galadriel now?” Gil-Galad quickly asks in concern, as with great effort he finally manages to escape the Uruks' tight grasp upon him. Now Ignoring him to focus solely on Elrond. However an other worldly noise that sounded like a low growl makes both elves freeze in place and glance back towards Adar. The noise coming from under his steel cuirass as if he was aggrieved the king was not giving him his complete attention.“She took it upon herself to divert off from us on our walk over here,” Adar interjects with an irritated look on his face as he fixates on Gil-Galad’s face once more. “ I released her and allowed her to return with us, to you. As a gesture of my good will, her freedom will also remain valid regardless of if we sign an agreement on this day or not.” “You freed her and asked for nothing in return?” The king asks in surprise with a distrustful look on his face before looking back towards his herald. “Is this true, Elrond?” “Yes it is true, my king. She was safe and well when I arrived to negotiate, and confirmed to me on our journey back here that she was treated well in Lord Adar's imprison- care.” Elrond corrects himself quickly. “She was adamant that she needed to visit somewhere urgently, I tried my hardest but I could not convince her otherwise. So I gave her my horse, and bid her to return as soon as possible. High king, I am deeply sorry I failed to stop her.” Elrond says sincerely, a sudden look of remorse on his face as his big silver eyes glisten in distress.Gil-Galad lets out a deep sigh as he places his hand on Elrond’s shoulder in a gesture of comfort, “Do not be sorry, Elrond. I doubt there was anything you could have said to sway her mind. Once Galadriel has something in her head there is no stopping her.” The king says with a heavy heart, hoping the lady of light was safe and not being too reckless. “What of the deal Adar offered you, I would hear about it.” The king then asks Elrond kindly, his face softening as he focuses on his darling herald fully.Yet at his question instead of answering him, Elrond suddenly looks away from him to the dark elf instead. “Lord Adar, C…Could you explain to my king your terms please?” Elrond asks with a slight flush to ears. The half-elf had been gazing at his king with such an adoring expression all this time, yet now for some reason he suddenly can not quite meet his king's eyes. The sudden change in his attitude instantly left the king feeling uneasy.“Certainly, though there is no need to be so embarrassed commander, we are all adults here after all.” Adar replies in a teasing voice that makes Elrond’s ears burn even redder. At Adar's words and Elrond’s reaction, Gil-Galad's heart instantly drops into his stomach. For he now can guess what Elrond has agreed to and he will not stand for it.“No! I refuse. I will not allow you to defile my herald, not even for a peace treaty.” Gil-Galad rebuffs instantly in a protective manner, before the dark elf can even speak. Glaring at Adar he drops his hand from Elrond’s shoulder and takes a step in front of him, shielding him with his immense body from the Uruk’s lecherous gaze. At the kind and loving gesture towards him, his beloved herald's starlight eyes begin to sparkle, a small smile appearing on his face.Adar cocks his head at Gil-Galad in curiosity, his smile eerie once more upon his face. “Who said anything about me defiling anyone?” He asks teasingly before dropping to a more serious tone, “I need fresh blood for my children, high king. I am always looking to improve the next generation of Uruk you see and I would very much like royal elvish blood in my next litters. That is what I was promised in return for a peace treaty and for me to combine my great forces with your meagre one to defeat Sauron.” Adar explains without a hint of humour.Gil-Galad stares in a mixture of disbelief and horror at the Uruk. Not quite believing what he was hearing or now imagining in his head at the implications of Adar's words. Gil-Galad felt nauseous at the mere thought of his sweet herald having any sort of relations with one of Adar’s monstrous brood. Yet It pained him even more to think that Elrond may think he was only useful to Adar just because he had a tiny amount of royal blood from ancestors long since gone from Arda. That because Elrond was a descendant of both King Turgon of Gondolin and King Thingol of Doriath that made him a perfect candidate for him to be used in a such a way. The king’s dark eyes glance at Elrond who has suddenly decided the tent's blank canvas wall looks way more intriguing than meeting any of their faces.“Elrond may be from a distinguished lineage Adar but I will not permit you to ask him to be used as some sort of… Stud on your children. It's an outrageous request. Even if he has promised you it, I will not agree to it.” Gil-Galad says firmly to Adar as he shakes his head.“That…Was not quite what I had promised him, my king...” Elrond says in a small voice as he turns his head to face him, a deep red blush now settling over the cheeks of his face. Gil-Galad looks observantly at his herald's severely embarrassed face and instantly feels the dread settle and grow heavy within him, confusion swirling in his mind. For what other possible thing could Adar be eluding to that his herald has agreed to do?Adar looks between the two elves with a raised eyebrow before speaking, “Let me make my intentions crystal clear, high king. I originally propositioned your herald because his impeccable pedigree would be invaluable to my breeding line. My aim would have been to take the qualities from all four separate species in the union and combine them together into one. However…After meeting you today, I have changed my mind. I want your precious royal sperm instead, Ereinion Gil-Galad, last high king of the Noldor.” “...I beg your pardon!!?” Gil-Galad loudly exclaims in equal parts horror and bewilderment, shifting his wide eyes from Adar down to Elrond, absolutely flabbergasted at the dark elf’s words. Elrond also stares towards the Uruk with disbelief and something else in his eyes. “You heard me king, if you want your peace treaty and my army then that is what I desire from you.” Adar says in an uncompromising voice. “And just so there is no more miscommunication, high king, your herald did not agree to be a stud to my children, he promised to mate me . So if you agree to my terms Gil-Galad, know it will be me personally you will be gifting your royal golden seed to.” Adar says seriously to the stunned high elf who can not even form words to reply. Instead standing in shock and looking horrified.“My lord, our original terms stated it would be me who would breed yo-” Elrond begins to say through gritted teeth, his silver eyes narrowed as he glares at Adar in annoyance.“Breed!?” Gil-Galad suddenly interrupts in a distressed voice, his face instantly paling as nausea builds in his stomach. “Elrond my sweet boy, what on Arda are you talking about?” “It is ok my king, let me handle this.” Elrond says patiently as he reaches out and puts a comforting hand upon his monarch's arm, patting it reassuringly before gently tugging his king's sleeve. Guiding him backwards and away from Adar to put some distance in between them before he then turns to face the dark elf with a stern look on his face.“As I was saying my lord, your original agreement was with me. You did not once mention my king in our negotiations. This is highly irregular.” Elrond says in a firm yet deceivingly polite voice. For Elrond was internally seething that the Uruk had even dared to have the audacity to change their terms nevermind demand such a thing from his honorable king.“Be that as it may, I have not signed anything thus far. And these are now the new terms I desire.” Adar replies obstinately as he stands confidently with his back straight and hands clasped behind him once more. “May I ask why, my lord? You were more than happy enough for me to sire your children but a mere hour ago, what’s changed? Why do you now desire my king over me?” Elrond asks in a perturbed voice as a frown begins to furrow upon him. For Elrond was not just angered at the Uruk propositioning his king so brazenly, he was also offended at the ease of which he had discarded himself. It may have been true that earlier when he had first agreed to Adar’s proposal he had done so reluctantly and out of duty more than a desire for it. He had no interest in sleeping with the Uruk or becoming a father at his young age or current life stage after all. Oddly now however the dark elf suddenly exchanging him so flippantly for another, even if it was for his magnificent king, felt like a harsh slap to his face.Adar regards Elrond for a moment, looking him up and down before suddenly and unexpectedly letting out a loud guffawing laugh. The patronising noise only starting to dampen when he finally notices Elrond getting even more angry and offended with him. With great effort Adar clamps his mouth shut, and calms himself as he says, “My apologies, commander. I was not aware you were being serious.” The dark elf says as he tries his best to control himself, schooling his face and lifting his mismatched palms up in a sign of peace.“You ask why? Is it not obvious? Just look at him.” Adar asks, as he flourishes his hand towards Gil-Galad, eyeing him up again as if he was a big juicy steak and speaking about him as if he could not hear him. Adar then flicks his eyes back to Elrond as he says, “I will admit you are very beautiful commander Elrond, and you are not lacking in either intelligence nor tenaciousness, all of which are very desirable traits to me. And your maia enhanced blood no matter how diluted is very enticing to me too however in all other areas you just do not compare to him. His handsome face and great height, his dense muscle mass, the size of his meaty frame to your slim body. He is perfect, he will make an excellent stud. Our children will be mighty, great warriors, I just know it!" Adar exclaims as he fixates back onto Gil-Galad’s grief stricken face.“What do you say, high king? Do you agree to my terms? If so, I will sign an agreement right now.” Adar declares in both a bold and eager voice. Tilting his head to the side as he regards Gil-Galad with excitement in his eyes. Though the king does not return his gaze nor emotion. At the monarch's continued prolonged silence and unresponsive attitude, Elrond turns towards him and steps closer. As much as Elrond does not want to ask the question or for his king to answer and agree, he can not allow him to look weak in front of their enemy or possible future ally. “My king, do you agree to Lord Adar’s proposal?” Elrond asks softly, caressing Gil-Galad’s arm in a soothing kind motion to snap him out of his stunned state.“Perhaps he does not want to say in front of you commander, lest he upsets your fragile little feelings.” Adar taunts, addressing Elrond before he looks back towards Gil-Galad. “Is that what holds your tongue, king? Do you need your boy to leave before you agree to my terms? The dark elf asks as he once again steps closer to the two elves. Elrond can not help but bristle at being referred to as ‘boy’ or tense up at the sight of Adar prowling towards them.“Are you perhaps waiting for me to sweeten the deal Gil-Galad? I will if that’s what you want, if you ask me nicely that is.” Adar asks with a teasing smirk as he now boldly stands in front of the king, his pale hand starting to slowly reach up towards him. Elrond watches the motion and his hand instantly hovers over his sword. Envoy or no, If Adar dares touch his king he will slice the offending hand off at his wrist. And as soon as Adar’s hand makes contact with Gil-Galad’s thick golden robes that's what he does. Elrond draws his sword and goes to aim it at the dark elf, the resounding metal screech echoing around the tent. At the noise Gil-Galad’s dark eyes flick towards Elrond but surprisingly he does not look pleased that his herald is ready to defend him, instead he raises his palm slightly in a silent order to stand down. Even as the Uruk starts stroking his hand upon his broad chest in a disrespectful manner, and even when he slides his long pale fingers up his neck he makes no effort to stop Adar or even look at him, he only stares at Elrond with an unreadable expression. Elrond was unsure if his king just did not know how to react to the intimate touch and was looking towards his herald for help so as not to offend Adar when he rejected him. Or if he actually did not mind the creature's touch and was telling Elrond to let it continue.“Look at me, king.” The dark elf demands as he grasps the taller elf’s chin, flashing the monarch a charming smile as he turns his face from Elrond to focus down on him alone. “Do you hesitate to answer and reciprocate because he is here? If you do not want him to watch, send your little herald away. Order him to leave and I’ll give you a taste of what’s on offer if you accept my terms.” Adar says in an airy sultry tone as he reaches up higher and tangles his fingers into Gil-Galad’s long dark silky hair, his head tilting as he leans upwards and tries to press his thin lips to Gil-Galad’s own. However Elrond, who had been standing silently seething at the creature trying to tempt his king, trying to make him send him away from him, had finally had enough. He intercepts the dark elf with his sword. With a gust of air he shoves it in between Gil-Galad’s and Adar’s faces, using it to block the Uruk from advancing any further. “Keep your vile hands and lips to yourself.” Elrond hisses in a dangerous voice at Adar as he glares daggers at him, his angelic face warping into one more akin to a harpy. To make his point even clearer Elrond presses the flat of his blade against Adars face in a warning, yet Adar does not cower at the threat instead he meets Elrond’s heated gaze full on and opens his mouth wide, sliding his fangs over the metal and clamping down on the thin sharp blade.Elrond’s eyes widen as he tries to tug his sword out of Adar’s mouth not caring if he sliced him in the process, yet it won't budge. The Uruk’s jaw strength is so strong as he holds it in a vice-like grip that even as Adar taunts him by laughing in his face, and Elrond loses his temper and tries to yank it free with all the strength he possesses, he still could not reclaim it. “That is enough.” Gil-Galad suddenly says in a low voice. One that makes Elrond instantly remove his hand from his sword and step away. However it has the opposite effect on Adar: he looks up towards the commanding voice, a rebellious glint in his eye as he still holds the sword firmly in between his razor sharp teeth. Elrond watches in both awe and concern as his king grasps his large hand over the blade and starts to pull it up, his superior height allowing him an advantage as he makes Adar stretch his neck and stand on his boot tips to keep hold of it. Adar of course resists the show of authority, with a low snarl he bites down harder and pulls the sword back towards himself, issuing a challenge to Gil-Galad as his pale eyes stare up mischievously towards him. The king responds by gripping the blade tighter, letting it cut into his palm as he now nearly dangles Adar from it. His noble crimson, Noldor blood dripping down the slim blade towards Adar’s face, though the dark elf ignores it, letting out a low guttural growl as he tries even harder to win over Gil-Galad and be victorious.“Drop my herald’s sword, now.” Gil-Galad orders in a deep commanding tone, a dark look over taking his face as he looms over Adar. His other hand now wrapped tightly around the Uruk’s neck, beginning to squeeze. At the order Elrond is sure Adar will try and resist, try and fight his king once more, yet instead he is surprised to see the Uruk’s eyes dilate and him slowly open his mouth and obey him. Though even when the creature is rewarded by Gil-Galad removing his hand from upon his throat he can not help but taunt the king one final time. Running his long tongue up the blade and lapping at the royal blood from upon it, Adar smiles at Gil-Galad as he licks the sword clean and then his own lips before he finally retreats and takes a couple of steps back away from the elves. With a final glance at Adar to make sure he was not bluffing and going to try and advance upon him again, Gil-Galad finally looks away from him. Bringing his right hand towards himself he places the palm of it upon his injured one. A blue shining light glinting off Vilya, one of his rings, as he heals his wounded hand. Once he is finished he then turns to Elrond and holds out his reclaimed sword towards him. “Thank you, my king.” Elrond instantly says as he steps forward and takes his weapon back, sheathing it as he stands before his king. The position mirroring Gil-Galad’s earlier gesture as he places himself protectively in between the high elf and the Uruk. Elrond then turns his back on Adar to look up into Gil-Galad’s face, taking his much larger hand in his own he asks, “My king, is what he said true? D…Do you want me to leave?” he asks in a hesitant, stiff voice. If it was he would of course reluctantly obey him and go, though it would break his heart if Adar was correct and his monarch did actually want to send him away.“Leave?” Gil-Galad asks as he looks down at Elrond with confused eyes. His expression grows unreadable as he glances between his herald and the Uruk. He stays silent for a moment before finally saying, “No, I do not wish for you to leave me, Elrond.”“Very well, I will not. I will stay.” Elrond says in a relieved, determined voice. A bright, glowing smile appearing on his pretty face that Gil-Galad's eyes instantly gravitate towards. Elrond then reaches out and makes it so both his hands now clasp Gil-Galad's in a tight embrace. “What is to be your decision then, my king?” Elrond asks in a solemn voice.“My decision?” The king repeats slowly, as his gaze flicks towards Adar who is now leaning up against one of the walls with his arms crossed. “I will require more time to consider the proposal, and perhaps a drink first before I decide. A large drink at that.” The king adds as his dark eyes linger on Adar who is still leeringly staring towards him, his pale eyes unblinking.“If you will both excuse me, for a moment.” Gil-Galad says as he gently removes his hand from Elrond’s and then turns to walk towards the table behind him where his decanter of wine sits. Leaving an awkward silence between the two remaining men in his wake.Elrond lets out a small sigh as he watches Gil-Galad's tall retreating form. Already deducing from previous experience that despite his king's reply, his decision will not be easy and will certainly take more than a mere moment to be made. Elrond tries to hide this fact and keep his face neutral as he turns towards Adar. Slowly walking to where he stands patiently awaiting a decision. “My lord, may I have a moment to speak with my king, alone? I will give you his decision as soon as I am able.” Elrond asks in a polite, placating voice.“Of course, however, do not keep me waiting long commander.” Adar says as he also glances at the king who has seated himself in his chair and is now downing a goblet of wine. “As I will need to inform my children if your king will be entertaining me tonight. Though by the looks of things, it appears that will not be happening and the battle will be going ahead as planned.” Adar says disappointedly before he flicks his eyes back down to Elrond’s suddenly distressed face.“No! That will not be necessary. Tell your children you will be staying here tonight. I can convince him. Trust me.” Elrond says quickly, his voice steadfast and with conviction. As much as he did not want to imagine his king with Adar, the thought of condemning thousands of Elvish lives to death was an even worse image in his head.“Is that so? Are you saying to me you can convince your king to not only sign an agreement but also fuck me in his bed? I do wonder how you plan on doing that?” Adar asks as he cocks his head in curiosity. “If I did not know any better I would think your high king a virgin, the way he has reacted to my advances. Surely that is not the case is it?” The dark elf asks as both Elrond and he glance back at Gil-Galad who is now on his second goblet of wine.“It is just how all high elves are my lord, they are very prudish and reserved when it comes to intimate affairs. Rest assured you will have your agreement and although I do not know where he will take you, I promise you he will lay with you tonight.” Elrond says confidently. Though it is all bravado as Adar was correct in his observation and the half-elf himself has no idea how he is going to convince his inexperienced king to have intercourse with Adar. For he had yet failed to even convince his king to lay with himself, nevermind the Uruk commander.“Though, my lord, if...If for whatever reason my king does decline your proposal. Will you accept me in his place once again?" Elrond asks, trying to keep his voice confident and self assured but he knows Adar can see right through his act. The dark elf regards him for a moment, yet it seems like an age as Elrond awaits his reply. Adar’s mouth twitching as if he wanted to say something before he thought better of it and quickly closes it and purses his lips instead."No. It has to be him." Adar answers simply."Then if that is to be the case, may I ask for a concession in our terms, please?” Elrond suddenly asks with a cautious air.“Perhaps, what is it you would ask of me?” Adar replies in curiosity.“Would... Would you allow me to be present in the room when the consummation happens?” Elrond asks.“Be in the room?” Adar asks in a sudden surprised voice, before he quickly recovers and returns back to his flirty persona, “Why commander, are you trying to invite yourself to join us? Do you feel snubbed that I chose your glorious king over yourself? Are you jealous that I will be getting mounted by your man? Or is it you just like to watch?” Adar taunts with a wicked smirk.“It is for none of those reasons!” Elrond hastily snaps, “I just think he would be more likely to agree if I was there as moral support.” Elrond says, hoping he is not making his king look weak or foolish by his words.“Ah, I understand.” Adar says, throwing a knowing look at Elrond before clicking his tongue as he looks at the half-elf thoughtfully. “To be frank, I would have liked both of your royal bloodlines in my new spawn. Yet I did not want to be greedy and demand it.” Adar says as he lifts his gauntlet towards Elrond's face and tips his chin up with a metal finger to look at him. “Even if it is true that your king is now my main priority, that does not mean I still do not find you attractive Elrond. Or that I would be opposed to carrying your children." Adar says in a surprisingly soft voice, his steel hand starting to gently caress the peredhel's face as he continues to speak."If I were to agree to your concession and allow you to be present and have access to him. Would you also sign a contract and participate? Would you agree once again to gift me your precious seed, Elrond?” “Yes, I would be willing to do that.” Elrond quickly agrees, and the moment he does Adar’s gauntlet grips him more possessively, his metal thumb reaching to touch and rub upon his lips. Yet Elrond does not react to it, nor does he when his heart starts to quicken at Adar's word's that he finds him appealing resonate with him. Not even as the feeling of unease settles within him as the Uruk invades closer and closer into his space fixating on his mouth, with hunger in his eyes. Or even still as Elrond realises with trepidation that if Adar does actually agree, he will once again have to psyche himself up to follow through with his side of the agreement.Though he knows in the grand scheme of things, what Adar is asking for is a small price to pay and one that benefits the elves way more than the Uruks. This deal could turn the tide of war, protect his kin and see them united to defeat Sauron once and for all. Elrond just hopes that Adar does not use that against him and deny his request. Or that if he accepts it that his king will not be unwilling to listen to him and will be able to follow through with his side of the agreement.“Very well then I shall grant your concession. I will depart now and inform my generals that I plan to postpone the siege and then I will return here after I have prepared myself. Do not waste my time or make me look like a fool in front of my children, Elrond Peredhel.” Adar says as his voice drops lower and his hand tightens and digs into Elrond’s jaw almost painfully. “Or you will live to regret it.” “For if you fail to convince your king, the battle between us will go ahead. And after I am victorious and Sauron lays dead at my feet by my hand, I will come straight for you and your golden king. I will drag you both back to Mordor with me as my new pets, keep you chained at my feet to use you both as I see fit. Is that understood?” Adar asks with a dark look on his face and a dangerous tone to his voice.“If you are victorious, you are not guaranteed to win or kill Sauron on your own. And who is to say we will not do the same to you if we are victorious instead.” Elrond retorts with narrowed eyes filled with defiance as he pries Adar’s cold steel hand away from his chin. For it may be true Elrond needs to say the right things in order to placate Adar and have him agree, but he will not allow himself to be threatened and bullied by the Uruk.Adar lets the opposing commander yank his hand away from his face before quickly escaping his tight grasp. Instead of retreating however he shoots his hand forward instead, roughly grabbing and snaring his metal fingers into Elrond’s curls. Pulling the half-elf towards himself with a squeak he leans forward and presses his lips to his ear. Whispering in a silky seductive voice, “I do love that fiery gaze of yours Elrond. I hope it's just as passionate towards me later tonight when I ride your cock until I drain your little balls dry.” He says as he flicks his long and devious tongue up Elrond's sensitive pointed ear, laughing lowly as the elf shivers under him. Adar then turns on his heel and strides out the tent without another word.Elrond stands frozen in place for a moment, regulating his breathing and calming himself before he turns and starts to walk towards his king's sitting form. He takes a seat beside Gil-Galad and also pours himself a large goblet of wine, as he contemplates just how he is going to convince his king to go along with the dark elf’s scheme. Whilst also trying his best not to imagine just what his king and he will have to endure later on tonight if it does indeed go ahead.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
An unusual, awkwardness sits between the High King and his herald. The silence inside the tent is only broken by the sound of goblets pressed against lips and throats swallowing large gulps of the flavoursome liquid contained within. Gil-Galad had already requested more wine be brought to them, they were currently nearing the end of the second bottle and still no further forward. Elrond finally had to force himself to break the prolonged silence, for Adar would be returning soon after all and would be expecting a positive answer. Elrond hastily needed to know how his king felt about what had transpired, to see if he was amenable to the idea or not. And if he was indeed still reluctant then he would need to begrudgingly plan on what he would need to say in order to reassure him to proceed. “My king, are you ready to speak yet?” Elrond asks slowly as he puts his goblet down on the table, the cloth muffling the clink against the wood. Gil-Galad however does not lower his, he drains his own and refills it before he looks upon his herald, regarding his face for a moment before finally nodding his head giving his permission to proceed. Elrond returns the nod.“What are your thoughts, my king? Do you think the commander to be trustworthy? Do you think he will honour his end of the deal if we were to accept his proposal?” Elrond asks, looking observantly on Gil-Galad’s face and eyes as each word leaves his lips in order to gauge his monarch’s inner workings. After all the years in his service, Elrond found that his king was able to hide his real intentions behind his words and his stoic face. Only reading Gil-Galad’s burnt mahogany brown eyes was he able to see and reveal his true feelings.“I am unsure. From a military perspective he appeared to be earnest, in all other matters I found him very hard to read.” Gil-Galad finally replies honest and curt, pausing as he takes a sip of his freshly poured beverage, “What were your initial thoughts, my herald? Do you trust him?” He then asks as his dark brown eyes seek Elrond’s starlight silver ones.“He does act peculiar compared to the other envoys I have treated with in the past yet he did not appear to be trying to hide anything when we spoke. If anything he was very up front and direct and seemed to be very genuine in regards to anything relating to his children.” Elrond states in his diplomatic voice, then adds in a scornful tone, “Even if his vulgar personality and wandering hands leaves a lot to be desired for.” A dark look overtakes Elrond’s face, jealousy clear in his voice yet Gil-Galad merely replies with a raised eyebrow over his goblet.“I do believe we can trust him however, my king. And that he will deliver on his end if we do on ours.” Elrond then urges himself to say in a confident, steadfast voice.“I see.” Gil-Galad replies thoughtfully, “If we were to trust him, and we were able to broker a peace treaty and alliance between us, it would be beneficial for both sides, not just our own.” The king says clasping his large hands together on the table, “A united front may even turn the tide of war and save so many of our people from sacrificing their lives needlessly for this foolish upcoming battle and any future ones in store for us.” Gil-Galad says in a sudden somber tone.“Then…You think we should proceed? Will we accept his proposal?” Elrond asks cautiously.“We? It will not be we though will it my herald? It will be me, I alone must go along with his demands.” The king says in a deeply, onerous tone as his eyes glance up towards the entranceway where Adar had once stood then departed. His fingers starting to fidget and play with his rings idly as he thinks.“...Regretfully, I do not think even if I wanted to accept his proposal, that I could do what he demands. That I…Am actually capable of being alone with him and fulfilling his terms.” Gil-Galad finally replies in an honest yet remorseful tone as he reaches for his goblet once more and nurses his wine.“What if you did not have to face him alone?” Elrond asks slowly, taking a deep breath before he continues, “Whilst we were awaiting your decision, I spoke with Adar further. He has agreed to permit me to be present, and… help if the need arises.” Elrond says as delicately as he could. His king did not have to know the full truth of it. He may not have asked Adar in so many words if he could do such a thing, but Adar had said he could be present and have access to his king if he agreed to join in with them.“If you do decide to accept his proposal that is.” The half-elf then adds, forcing himself to keep his king’s gaze and not show any sign of fear or embarrassment. For he knows if he does, Gil-Galad will falter and any progress they have made for him to agree will turn to ash.“Help? Help in what way, Elrond?” Gil-Galad asks warily.“Help my king, in any way he needs.” Elrond replies in a serious voice, as he reaches his hand forward under the table and places it on Gil-Galad’s thick thigh, squeezing the densely muscled flesh slightly to make his intentions clear. Yet as expected his oblivious king does not look down or even react appropriately. Instead he sips more of his wine and places his own hand upon Elrond’s, patting his hand more in a platonic than intimate way. Though even this tiny touch his king had responded with was a big improvement from the closed off High Elf he had first met in Lindon all those years ago and as such Elrond welcomes the small gesture with a warm smile. For even though he had a very long way to go, Gil-Galad still had come such a long way in understanding complex emotions and physical touch. Elrond was very proud that after all the hard work he had gone through with him, his king was now at a stage where he felt able to respond with his own touch and felt more at ease sharing his own feelings. The peredhel was glad to have been able to help his king in this matter, just like how he was also grateful and very relieved that he could be there now to aid Gil-Galad once again. Repaying his king's kindness for all the many years he had helped him as he resided in Lindon. Elrond had felt the need to help even more so in this specific situation for what the terms would entail. As although his gallant king was much, much older and wiser than he on most subjects. Elrond knew like most elves he had very little knowledge or experience when it came to sex, and as a high elf even less a desire for it. Even worse, Gil-Galad was a high elf reared as royalty. He had not only lacked the urge for physical touch but also for emotional connection too. Unlike Elrond himself who had always desired intimacy and attention from others. Mostly mental and emotional interactions but also unusually for an elf craving physical affection too. His feelings had always been seen as an abnormality and an annoyance to the long-living and aloof elves. In this regard it made Elrond more suited and capable of fulfilling Adar's demands rather than his king. Yet even if Elrond was more adept he was still a novice and far from an expert in pleasures of the flesh. However even with what little experience and knowledge he had in this area it was still way more than his king. Due to this, it made absolute sense to Elrond for him to be present. If not just to keep an eye on Adar to make sure he did not hurt or take advantage of his naive and frigid king. But also to aid Gil-Galad into fulfilling his obligation if it came to that. Though Elrond really hoped it would not, the whole situation was already embarrassing enough as it was. He would rather not add to it by having Adar watch and no doubt loudly commentate if he had to help arouse Gil-Galad with his hands and body or more humiliatingly suck his king off in front of him. Elrond does not know if Gil-Galad could live with the shame and humiliation if that came to pass. Or if Elrond himself could even look his proud king in the eye ever again if he had to do such a thing in front of another person, especially someone as smug and vulgar as Adar.“There were conditions, of course.” Elrond says, his smile slightly slipping, his voice saturating with attitude as he withdraws his hand from his king's leg and picks his forgotten goblet up to take a sip instead. “Conditions? What more could he have possibly wanted from us?” Gil-Galad asks with a furrowed brow.“He would only allow me to be present if I also… participate was his exact word. He also wants us both to sign a contract.” Elrond says with a slight sneer as he remembers Adar’s disrespectful behaviour towards his king, and the brutish and uncivilised manner he had displayed towards himself. Daring to touch and grab his face so roughly, then threatening the two elves with captivity and worse if they lost the battle. Yet then for him to switch up and be so ruthless and diplomatically intelligent enough to still demand his terms be legally signed and binding. It was laughable really.“No!” Gil-Galad says with a sudden anger flaming in his voice. “It is bad enough he wants even one of us to go along with his foolish, deviancy Elrond. I will not have you be involved in this as well.” The king says, actually reaching his hand out of his own accord towards the peredhel and placing it upon Elrond’s own smaller one that rested upon the table. Elrond appreciated the act of comfort towards him, linking his smaller fingers within Gil-Galad’s broader ones instantly.“Would it not be better if this has to happen that neither of us have to face that vile creature alone? That we can rely on each other for support? Would it not make the whole experience less daunting and easier for us both to endure, my king?” Elrond asks in a kind voice.“What you say may have some truth to it but even so…” Gil-Galad says with an unconvinced tone, even if he did agree with his sentiments.“Even so,” Elrond repeats, gripping his monarch’s hand and bringing it to his face. He then turns it so he could kiss upon his rings, as he stares intensely into his king's eyes. “I am grateful I will be allowed to be there with you. I am glad that if you need me, I will be at your service and by your side where I belong.” Elrond says with an adoring and reverent expression on his face. And Elrond genuinely means every word of it. At his words and his kind expression, Gil-Galad's handsome face smiles back at him. The king moving his hand from the half-elf’s plush lips to stroke his knuckles softly against his herald's cheek. Elrond felt a warmth settle within him as he leaned into the loving touch that for once Gil-Galad had actually initiated himself. Yet although his king was more open to being intimate these days, the peredel still worries that Adar’s provocative un-elven behaviour may be too forward and overwhelming for his reserved elvish ego to bear. Or that if Adar comes onto his king too strongly he could even revert all the progress they’ve made back to how he was before. The Uruk had even been too much for Elrond to handle after all and he had barely done anything to him. Just him grabbing his face, making a crude comment towards him and flicking his disgusting tongue against his ear had been enough to unnerve him and Elrond was nowhere near as frigid or opposed to physical touch as his king.Elrond was not willing to let that happen however, he would not allow Adar of all people to trample on and destroy everything they had built together. He would also strive to do whatever he needed to do to make sure their terms were fulfilled, in order for Adar to make good on his end of the deal. Even if out of the two elves Elrond would have to take the lead and guide his king or if he had to do the majority of the work on his own, he was prepared to do so. Though deep down Elrond thinks that even if he gets his king to fulfil his side and he himself participates fully, it may not be enough to complete their task or to satiate the Uruk’s apparent unnatural and ravenous appetite. Yet perhaps it was not unnatural and it was in fact normal for Uruk’s to behave this way. Elrond had not encountered one before so could not compare. All he knew was out of all the species he had met in the past the Elves were the most withdrawn and private about their intimate affairs. The majority preferring to keep to themselves and not indulge in such things, prioritising their careers and hobbies over such matters. And if they were intimate it was for a purpose not for pleasure, usually done at the end of a long courtship and marriage to one individual person. Never for one night trysts or having relations with multiple different people like other species.Out of all the elves he had crossed paths with throughout his life, the peredhel had known only of Galadriel and Glorfindel who did. Those two being the only high elves Elrond knew to actively seek out skinship with other beings for pleasure with no intentions of forming long lasting bonds with their bed partners. But they were exceptions. In a way, Elrond himself was also an exception, however he had put his urges down to his mixed heritage. That either his man or maia genes were overriding his elven side and influencing him in such a way. It had caused quite a problem for him when he had first arrived in Lindon. Elros and he had been so terribly lonely and had really struggled to fit in, not understanding why the other elves acted so cold towards them or one another, or why they treated the peredhels so differently from the loving and physical manner in which Maedhroes and Maglor had raised them. After Elros chose humanity and left him alone at Lindon, Elrond fell into a deep depression and really began to struggle.Gil-Galad had always been kind towards the twins but preferred to watch from afar rather than meddle in their lives. He took them under his wing and helped them where he could yet did not ever pretend to be anything more than their king. Even if deep down he knew both boys looked up towards him and saw him as a father figure. Gil-Galad had always liked the idea of having his own children one day, yet he made a point of never actively encouraging the two Peredhels to treat him as such. For he felt he would do them a great disservice if he did as he had no fatherly or caring instincts present inside him or indeed any experience from his own parents to fall back on to raise them correctly. However after seeing Elrond struggling so hard to cope and watching him start to fade with melancholy, something inside him made him intervene. And although he too, especially as a royal high elf was emotionally stunted and did not crave physical touch he allowed Elrond to seek it from him. It had taken some time and great effort for him to be comfortable doing it, but Elrond had deeply appreciated the sentiment. And soon because of his king, he not only was able to build a life for himself at the Lindon Courts, he truly began to thrive. Though it had taken the course of many, many years and at first Gil-Galad would never initiate contact with him, he would sit back and wait for Elrond to come to him, to tell him what he needed. Then use his limited knowledge to do his best to satiate him. He started off by giving Elrond a new role at the courts, asking him to be his personal herald. Then allowing Elrond into his study to complete his new assigned duties at his own desk so he could do so in his king’s company rather than alone in his own designated office. Then he gave him his own key and permitted him to join him anytime he wished to, even if he did not have any work to complete. The king would sit silently as he relaxed in his chair by the fire, or other times he would talk on important diplomatic matters as he completed his own duties at the same time. Sometimes he would invite Elrond to join him for tea, permitting him to chat informally with him as they enjoyed their steaming cups. Allowing Elrond to ask him questions about the court, about his new job role he had given him, about elvish customs and etiquette. And in turn he asked Elrond personally about himself, especially interested in his peredhel nature and how it affected him compared to being full elven. Gil-Galad believed in order to truly rely on Elrond as his new herald he needed to know him fully inside and out. Yet he was actually interested too, and hoped if he could learn more about him he could make his life that bit more easier. Each day, even if the king himself was not hungry, he would make sure Elrond dined with him at least once. Either in his study or in his private quarters, for he had come to learn from their conversations that peredhel’s needed to sleep and eat much more often than a pure elf and he did not want him to feel lonely or embarrassed in any way about it. Though the sleeping arrangements had been more complicated. Elrond was not used to sleeping alone, he had always had his foster parents or his twin Elros as company. Unfortunately Gil-Galad could not allow him to rest in his private royal chambers with him. His study however sat in the middle of his own private quarters and a smaller room he had reserved for storage and files. Gil-Galad granted Elrond this room to use as his own bedroom so that although he was technically sleeping alone he could enter his study and be in familiar surroundings whenever he wished. It made sense to the king too as the role of his herald could be very demanding, the duties of the role requiring very long hours. Gil-Galad had thought this way if Elrond ever needed a break or to get some rest he could do so without leaving the confines of their suite, or need to walk the many corridors and halls alone. The more the king came to be in the Peredhel's company the more Gil-Galad learnt to read his emotions too, and slowly began to take his own initiative by giving Elrond a comforting hand upon his shoulder or even upon his head but that had been the limit of what he would offer unprompted. If Elrond wanted or needed more than that, he would always have to ask. Like if he wanted to lean into Gil-Galad golden robes and fall asleep while the king read his letters and literature, that was fine. If the half-elf was feeling particularly low and wanted a warm embrace that too was ok, but Elrond had to make the first move by wrapping his slender arms around Gil-Galad’s dense frame and then placing his large hands upon him in the desired position, only then would he reciprocate and cuddle him against him tightly.Yet Elrond constantly craved more, and as long as he initiated it Gil-Galad never said no and always indulged him. Soon letting him crawl up on his lap and fall asleep nestled into his neck as his king enjoyed drinking a goblet of wine or reading his book of choice for that evening. Elrond pushed his luck further, testing the waters by taking a seat upon his king’s knee during work hours. Acting nonchalant as he rested his back against Gil-Galad’s broad chest as they both completed their paperwork at their desk. Elrond knew what he was doing was wrong, and by doing so he had taken advantage of his king’s naive nature who would see the gesture as purely platonic yet Elrond could not help keep asking his king to indulge him again and again. For Gil-Galad’s large warm body felt so nice and comforting against him, relaxing on his lap made him feel so safe and loved, something he had not felt since he still lived with the Feanorian brothers and his own twin. And so as time progressed it just became normal between them. However as Elrond aged and matured he could not help letting his platonic feelings bloom and spiral into more, he yearned for Gil-Galad to finally take the initiative for once. He wanted his monarch to lean forward and kiss him rather than just accept Elrond’s lips upon his cheek, he wanted his large hands to reach down and touch and roam upon his smaller body. He wanted to know what would happen if Gil-Galad allowed him to squirm long enough on his lap for him to actually grow fully hard rather than have his king put his hands on his hips to still him as soon as he felt himself start to stir or worse still ignore his advances and act like nothing was happening. Elrond had grown so frustrated with his antics that one night he finally mustered up the courage to act on his overwhelming burning desire for his king. They had both settled down for the evening in their sofa they had always shared, Elrond sat cradled in his king's arms upon his lap with a blanket wrapped around them as they so often did. So that Elrond could nestle against Gil-Galad's chest and listen to his steady heartbeat as he drifted off to sleep. However Elrond could not close his eyes and fall into slumber, his kings hard muscled arm embracing him was distracting him, his ringed hand stroking his hair sending shivers up his spine, his heavily perfumed yet masculine scent was suddenly so intoxicating it was driving him crazy. Elrond could not help but nuzzle in closer to his neck, breathing him in and pressing his lips against his skin. Gil-Galad had said nothing and did not react one bit until his mouth had reached his jaw. Elrond had reached up and tentatively slid his delicate hand upon his king's cheek, slightly turning his face so he could observe his features. His dark brown eyes had warily met his own yet Elrond saw no sign of him being uncomfortable, or disappointedly no evidence of him being aroused either. Taking the plunge he brought his lips to Gil-Galad’s own and pressed them upon him. He had no idea what he was doing only guided by his instincts, and what he had read in his coveted romance novels. The high elf had not pulled away from the kiss or moved forward into it either; he simply just stayed still and let Elrond move his plush lips against him, let their blanket drop and pool around Elrond’s hips as he turned himself on his dense thighs to fully face him. Gil-Galad continued to stay silent as Elrond sat down fully upon him, his breath only slightly hitching as Elrond started to push down and rock his rear against him. And as Elrond felt his king grow hard underneath him he grew emboldened and started moving his slim hips harder and more incessant against him. Reaching up with both hands now to grab Gil-Galad’s face and hold him in place as he deepened their kiss and slowly pushed his tongue between his lips. Elrond had whimpered when he felt Gil-Galad move his broad hands and hesitantly place them on his ribs and then actually slide them down to settle on his waist. Elrond was overjoyed; he had thought Gil-Galad was on the same page as him now, was reciprocating because he too wanted to be intimate with him. At the thought he could not help but start to moan unashamedly into Gil-Galad’s mouth as he stroked his tongue upon the monarch’s own and lined himself up over his king's twitching cock. Yet his moans turned from sounds of pleasure into a noise of frustration when once again his king grabbed his hips and held them still. Staring down into his face with that unreadable expression that meant he wanted him to stop. “Please.” Elrond had whined, begging his king as he stared up into eyes with such desperation on his face and neediness in his eyes. His hand moving down to press against Gil-Galad’s obvious arousal, trying to coax his king into giving into his desire. Yet his king had finally reached the limit of what he was comfortable with and for the first time ever since he came to Lindon he denied his request and told him no. At his refusal Elrond had felt so dejected, thinking he had upset his king and he would no longer share his affection with him or if he did it would be awkward and changed forever between them. With tears starting to well up in his eyes, Elrond had moved to dismount Gil-Galad’s knee and go to retire to his quarters to cry alone. Yet Gil-Galad had grabbed his arm and given him a curious look, asking him why he was leaving in a confused voice. Elrond had not known how to respond, was it not obvious why? How could he stay after being rejected in such a way? How could he remain when at any moment he was about to burst into tears? Though of course his king did not understand, for Gil-Galad was not like other people and was so oblivious it physically pained his heart. Elrond had allowed him to reposition his legs and pull the blanket back over between them, then he had pressed his face in his king’s broad chest and willed himself to sleep as he sobbed silently and left wet tear stains all over his king's thin evening robe. After that day things continued as If Elrond had never made an advance on his king, Gil-Galad acting like nothing had happened between them. Yet Elrond could not understand his behaviour, or why he would reject him yet still continue to share his warmth and touch with him so freely. At first Elrond thought that perhaps he was reluctant because of the fact he had basically raised him or that he denied him due to their positions at court. Reasoning that because Gil-Galad was his king and he his subject and employed herald, he did not wish to act on his desires in case it would be seen as an abuse of his authority. Though Elrond needed him to know that he did not just want him for his own selfish needs, he also deeply respected him as his monarch too. Although Elrond found Gil-Galad very desirable and attractive he would obey his wishes and not try to push him on the matter; however that did not mean he still did not want to please him. He wanted nothing more than to return the favour of his long years of kindness upon him and worship his king in any way he desired. To show him how much his love and affection truly meant to him, and how much he had changed his life for the better. Yet every time he tried Gil-Galad would always stop him and say it was not necessary, that he did not do it expecting anything in return and as long as Elrond was happy so was he.But Elrond was not happy. Denied at being allowed to share in intimacy with his king and now to please him too, he was deeply afflicted and could not understand Gil-Galad at all. Elrond being the curious creature he is, he just had to know. For he could not help but wonder why? Why would his king reject his advances when he was so willing and eager to share his body with him and him alone? Why would he not want to see Elrond show his gratitude towards him? One day as they were both sitting catching up on letters that had piled up, curiosity got the better of the herald and he finally asked. Gil-Galad had eventually and hesitantly confided in him that it had nothing to do with Elrond personally. He did care for him deeply, yet was unsure of how to deal with or understand his complicated emotions or desire for him. He then shockingly confessed to Elrond that not only had he never had intimate relations with anyone before in his life, he also simply did not have the urge for it either and because of his lack of libido he didn't think he ever would. They left it at that, Elrond was obviously shocked at his confession yet pleased at the same time. For his king had not outright refused him or said he did not find him attractive, he had not fully been rejected, the door was still open for the possibility in the future. With that knowledge, Elrond then resigned himself to be happy enough with whatever physical and emotional contact his king would be comfortable sharing with him. He did not want to ruin the loving relationship they had or push his king into feeling he had to give him more than he felt able to manage. Even if he did yearn for much, much more.Elrond would be happy with any form of affection he was gifted from his king. It did not need to be sexual in nature, he would be content enough with just a smile directed towards him or a simple caress of his heavily ringed, large hand upon his face and curls. For he knew no-one else but he received Gil-Galad’s affections or touch, and that made it all the more special. For this reason alone, Elrond would have much preferred it if Adar had kept to their original agreement and not propositioned Gil-Galad. At least that way they could have kept it between themselves and not involved his king in it at all. Then his king would not have to see his herald lay with another and he in turn would not have to witness Gil-Galad being intimate with someone other than he. Or for his king to actually fully penetrate another being when he had yet to even share that experience with Elrond himself. Yet if that’s what it will take in order to find middle ground and peace, Elrond knew he begrudgingly would just have to suck it up and accept it.***After they had both finally agreed to proceed, the two Lindon elves then spoke a bit more about Adar and planned the finer details of the rest of the evening. Deciding amongst themselves that they would carry out their business in the king's royal quarters where they knew they could have the most privacy for what was about to take place. Additionally they chose that location so Elrond could write up an agreement in peace with all the tools he would need at his disposal. They then waited for Adar to return and once he did, all three walked together to their new destination. Elrond had been surprised to see Adar appear alone with not an Uruk in sight to guard him, his only protection his sword and dagger on his belt. It had not made sense to him, especially so after the threatening words he had left the herald with before he departed. For all Adar knew he could be walking into a trap at this very moment. Gil-Galad and Elrond could just kill him. With the Uruk dead his immense army would be leaderless and little threat to the elves and as a bonus they would not have to follow through with his unorthodox demands. Yet Adar knew the two Lindon elves were too honourable to do such a thing, that is why he feels so safe coming alone after all. And why he now struts so confident and smug in enemy territory without a care in the world. As they walked Elrond kept his eyes trained on the Uruk, making sure to shadow his every move and put himself in between his king and Adar. As under the false pretense of small talk, the dark elf had been prowling closer and closer to Gil-Galad the nearer they got to their destination. Finally pouncing forward and linking his arm around the kings as he asked him about his tent formations. Asking why the layout was the way it was and suggesting improvements. Telling Gil-Galad he should punish whichever fool decided to put the king's own quarters in such an obvious and unsecure place and laughing to himself when Elrond had interrupted and told him it was he who had formulated and planned the layout of the camp.Once they eventually had arrived at his quarters, Gil-Galad commanded his guards to leave them and not return, using the excuse that the three of them were negotiating further. Which in a way they still were. Gil-Galad busied himself once they were inside by producing more wine, this time from his secret first age stash, pouring them all full glasses. Finally taking a seat with Elrond at his desk to mentally prepare himself and for Elrond to start writing up the contract. While they did this Adar passed by the desk and ignoring his assigned goblet, grabbed the half full bottle of wine instead. Drinking straight from the bottle as he walks around the room to amuse himself. Exploring the king's private area by sniffing and nosing around in his personal belongings and touching things he should not be. Gil-Galad sighs heavily, taking a big gulp of his velvety rich wine as he now observes Adar in both irritation and displeasure. Watching him as he fiddled with Aeglos his spear as it stands propped up against the wall. And then for some odd reason adding his own sword with it as if they were a paired item. The king has to physically turn his head away and face Elrond to stop himself chastising the creature. Instead focusing on his herald as he quickly drafted the treaty document.“Elrond, I still do not know why we have agreed to this, that beast is obviously deluded. He must know he can't get pregnant, why would he ask for such a thing?” The king asks in a hushed tone glancing over at Adar who was at the opposite end of the room near his fireplace, throwing the glass into the flames and watching it melt now he had drained his bottle dry.“Even if he is deluded my king, if it gets us a signed treaty and a pledge to join forces, I will play along with his silly games. It is a small price to pay to save so many lives.” Elrond replies in the same quiet tone, his eyes still downcast as his hand scratches the quill over the parchment efficiently but still in his elegant cursive script. This subject had been their main issue with agreeing to Adar’s demands and had taken up a fair amount of their time before the dark elf had returned to them. Gil-Galad was under the impression Adar was either mentally deranged or he was toying with them; he did not believe for one second that he was capable of becoming pregnant. Elrond on the other hand believed him. However much his rational mind told him it was impossible, Elrond thought him genuine and deduced if it was true perhaps Morgoth or Sauron had done something to adapt his body when they had transformed him from an elf into the Moriondor he was today.“How did he even broach the topic with you?” Gil-Galad asks curiously as he sips his wine. He trusted his herald's judgement fully, however he was still reluctant to proceed and thought this whole thing was a foolish and pointless endeavour. He was still even now, unable to grasp out of anything Adar could have asked for, why he would ask for this.“Well, it started off innocently enough. He spoke of my foremother Melian, and commented on my appearance to say I resembled her. Then he started flirting with me without shame in front of Galadriel, Vorohil and even his own children.” Elrond says, adding in clarification at Gil-Galad’s confused expression, “The other Uruk’s who he had stood at guard, he refers to them as his children. Anyway after that he suddenly went off on a tangent about the Maiar. It only progressed downhill from there.” Elrond explains in a dry unimpressed tone, as he sets his quill down and looks up at his king's face. His ears suddenly beginning to blush red.“Originally I thought he wanted to lay with me in exchange for the treaty, for me to be the…receiver.” Elrond says in a shy voice. “However that’s when he started talking about bloodlines and being bred and I suddenly realised he wanted me to do the… you know.” Elrond says as his face also starts to flush, his expression turning abashed.“I told him I needed your permission first of course but I had no idea he was going to proposition you too my king, he never mentioned you were part of the deal until he asked you. I am sorry I could not warn you in advance, I did not mean to put you on the spot like that, it must have been very difficult for you. Especially with how forward he is.” Elrond says regretfully as he takes Gil-Galad’s hand in his own, leaning forward to place his lips against the sparkling rings upon his knuckles in an apology and show of reverence to his high king.“Don't be silly, how could you have known? I doubt anyone could predict what is going on in that dark twisted head of his.” Gil-Galad replies with a kind smile putting his own larger hand on Elrond's cheek to reassure him. Giving Elrond a loving and adoring look and warmly smiling at him when he sees his beautiful herald’s starlight silver eyes sparkle back at him.‘Let us just focus on getting this document completed and signed, my little star . Hopefully once we have both done our duty he will leave and we can put this matter behind us and forget it ever happened.” Gil-Galad says, stroking his broad fingers on Elrond’s pretty face as the half-elf leans heavily into his hand. Lost in their own world, both elves do not hear the Uruk’s quiet and stealthy footsteps. It is only when Gil-Galad sees Adar’s odd pale face and shaggy obsidian hair peering over Elrond’s shoulder that he drops his hand away from his herald's face.“Is it done?” Adar asks briskly as he snatches the parchment off the table. Holding it up to his face and reading it immediately.“...Is the wording to your approval, my lord?” Elrond asks cautiously after a moment as he watches the dark elf’s pale eyes scan over the text in a scrutinising manner.“It is adequate.” Adar replies as he finishes reading the document. Adequate? Elrond can not help but bristle at the insulting word directed towards him. He took his heraldry job very seriously and his contracts were second to none. Considering the short amount of time he had to write it, Elrond thinks that the wording was well structured and clear and the Uruk could have praised his work higher.“Have either of you sired children previously?” Adar suddenly asks, flicking his eyes from the scroll to stare between the two Lindon elves. Focusing on Elrond first, who suddenly freezes in place as he is jolted from his thoughts.“N..no I have not.” Elrond admits quickly. “Though I have not been inclined to try either.”“I see. That is to be expected, you are very young after all. You still have plenty of time to try.” Adar says in a serious tone to Elrond before turning his face to Gil-Galad.“How about you high king, I can imagine you must have lots of children?” Adar asks with a sudden bright smile, staring at Gil-Galad intently. However when the king does not reply straight away he looks at him suspiciously and asks, “A king such as yourself must surely have at least tried to continue your bloodline and secure your legacy? How many living heirs have you produced Gil-Galad?”“How many heirs? No I-” Gil-Galad begins to say but Elrond interrupts him, kicking his foot under the desk when his king does not notice him trying to give him a silent look.“He does not have any my lord, and he has not tried either. Have you my king?” Elrond says, looking at his monarch and nodding his head for him to agree.“What my herald says is correct, commander. I have no biological heirs.” Gil-Galad confirms to Adar.“None? No heirs at all?” The dark elf asks in disbelief. “Are you meaning to tell me you were going to go into battle and risk losing your dynasty? Risk ending your ancient bloodline?” The dark elf asks incredulously.“Elrond is my heir. If I fell in battle he would have taken up my mantle and worn my crown.” Gil-Galad says instantly, nodding towards Elrond and giving him a reassuring smile as he just stares at him.“Me your heir? I was not aware of this? I..I don’t know what to say my king, I am truly not worthy of such an honour.” Elrond says as his ears blush bright red. He truly had no idea his king would make him his successor, it was such a kind and unexpected thing to hear.“You are more than worthy, Elrond. I can think of no other person better suited or of sounder fortitude to rule in my stead.” Gil-Galad replies sincerely, as he holds his hand out and takes Elrond’s smaller one in his own. “Yet do not dwell on it, for I do not plan on perishing any time soon.” The king says matching Elrond’s bright smile he now wears for him.“How very touching.” Adar says, his words dripping with sarcasm, as he interrupts the emotional moment between the two elves. “However you are aware Gil-Galad, that if our union bears fruit, my children with you will have a more valid claim to your throne than your little herald?”“I am aware how the line of succession works, Adar.” Gil-Galad replies dryly.“Although it was never my agenda behind the union, are you saying you have no objections to one of our children, an Uruk Elven hybrid, ruling your subjects?” Adar asks, tilting his head as he stares at Gil-Galad’s face, as if searching for any dishonesty.“Why would I deny the claim of any child that carries my blood? Regardless of whatever else may be a part of them.” The king says in a sincere voice, humouring Adar. For although he is speaking honestly, and would not carry prejudice against a person of mixed lineage ruling. As he was willing to give his kingship to Elrond afterall who is not fully of the Eldar and was indeed a hybrid himself. He still has very little faith that Adar is being truthful in that he can actually produce any children between them and still thinks the Uruk is deluded and mentally unstable. For this reason Gil-Galad thinks the chances of this ever occurring are near non-existent.“Very well then.” Adar says after scanning his face and coming to the conclusion he was indeed being honourable and truthful. He then turns his gaze back to Elrond and focuses on him now instead. “In light of this new information, I would like two extra clauses added to our agreement.” Adar says as he passes the scroll back to Elrond's outstretched hand.Elrond takes the scroll back and flattens it back on the desk. His hand reaching for his quill and dipping it into the ink pot before he looks up warily into Adar’s face and asks, “What do you propose as your first clause, my lord?”“I want any children produced from our union to have a legitimate claim to your throne Gil-Galad regardless of who has sired them.” Adar says ignoring Elrond to look directly at the king instead, then staring at him as he awaits his response.“My lord, I do not have a claim to-” Elrond begins to argue.“The high king has you as his heir at the moment does he not?” Adar says to Elrond, “You are a prince and your ancestors are all of royal blood. Therefore your children inherit the same claims.”“What do you say Gil-Galad?” Adar then asks as he faces the king once more. The king sits leaned back in his chair, with his hands folded in front of him on the desk. A thoughtful expression on his face as he considers the dark elf’s words.“I agree and have no problems with that term.” Gil-Galad finally says, before he adds to Elrond, “You may add that to the contract.” “Very well, my king.” Elrond says, bowing his head slightly in a show of respect before he quickly scratches the quill over the parchment and adds the new clause to it. “What is the second amendment?” Elrond then asks as he tilts his head up to look up at Adar again. “The second clause is that if for whatever reason I do not conceive this time around you both will cover me again until I do, regardless of how many times it takes.” Adar replies.“My lord, unlike the first, this one would be classed as an unconscionable clause.” Elrond replies regretfully as he places his quill down. Getting ready to argue his case and hold his ground as he looks up at the dark elf and sees he also wears a stubborn expression. Elrond knows how hard a negotiator Adar is from their earlier talks this morning, but once again he will not be bullied by him into backing down and relenting to his requests.“How so? If I do not receive what I am promised should you not endeavour to try again until I get what I am owed? Should you both not strive to see your side of the agreement fulfilled? I think that's only fair.” Adar asks with a slight frown, crossing his arms in attitude.“Are you deliberately being obtuse or are you actually that dense?” Gil-Galad suddenly interrupts, uncharacteristically snapping in irritation. “You are a man Adar so unless you have some Valar blessed magical body part that allows you to conceive it will never happen! Do you think us foolish enough to legally agree to something that will never have a chance of being fulfilled? To do so would allow you to invoke your right to claim it whenever you saw fit, it would have no end in sight. I don't even know why we are continuing on with this folly!” The kings say in an aggravated, exasperated voice.“Unfortunately I do not possess any magical body parts, just the normal ones. Though I can assure you high king, contrary to what you believe I have conceived many, many times throughout the ages.” Adar boasts proudly, ignoring the angry outburst directed towards him to smile at the king instead like he was happy at the show of fury towards him. “Unlike you two, I might add who have failed to procreate and are unproven in siring children.” “However if you add the clause I would be willing to overlook that fact and take the risk on you both, for thanks to my previous dark master I am very fertile. Now, I do believe my offer is an earnest one.” Adar says stubbornly as both he and Gil-Galad stare at each other down.“Should I add the second clause too, my king?” Elrond asks, interrupting the tension between the two opposing leaders. Picking the quill up and dipping it back in the ink pot as he looks at his king for approval.Gil-Galad shakes his head with a frustrated sigh, “Do it, Elrond.”
