Sebastian growled, grunted and groaned as he wiped the floor of one of the unoccupied cells with a rag. How did he even get in this situation did he?

"So how's the new cell?" Grinned one of the eggheads, this one was a particular case of annoying, Sebastian hated this one. This scientist he didn't bother to get the name of always had that smirk plastered on his face, truely, it was infuriating.

"If it was as big as your brain-" He started, preparing for regretting this later but hell, "I'd be suffocating in it's thight walls." He groaned. "It's a cell. Metal walls and metal floor and metal cielling idiot."

That got the asshole red in the face almost instantly.

And here he is. Well, it could be worse. Much worse. That thought crossed Sebastian mind all the time, almost like a fucking mantra that kept him sane. He wondered when even that won't work, if he'll ever reach a point where doing worse just simply wasn't possible. He didn't want to imagine how bad it could be if he couldn't think of something worse happening."Well well."Sebastian turned his head so fast his neck muscles hurt. He stared at the woman that just spoke to him, hair put in a neat bob, light brown a contrast to the darker color of her eyes that reflected no life. He noted the symetrical patches under each of her eyes. What are those?"I see, it's the unsubordinate prisoner getting what he deserves. Wiping the floor."Her voice crackled in a twisted chuckle, but there was nothing than just twisted almost pure and raw satisfaction in her language and voice. Sebastian definitely didn't like her."Yeah what about it?" He hissed these words, not even a snarky comment, he definitely felt the almost predatory aura radiating from this woman. She wasn't anyone, not at all.He didn't know her, but he felt like a rabbit in front of a wolf, her fangs barred, dripping in saliva while he was stuck against a tree. Of course he wasn't going to sit there pissing himself in fear, ah nah uh. Even if the idea was not as easy as he thought to throw out of the window, he kept that body of his in check."What a mouth." She noted and Sebastian barked in annoyance, as he rubbed the floor with that rag that he wanted to throw at someone right now. It was very tempting. He did a half smile, showing his teeth, clenched."And what a behavior too." She snarked as she bent to his level, she was smaller than him, smaller than the average woman for he dared to think. She studied his traits closely. "What a misbehaved one we've got.""And what are you gonna do?" He hissed. "Spank me?" He didn't dare smirk. Even if he wanted too, she felt too powerful for him to even be able to. He didn't like that strange aura floating around her."Spank no. But punish?" She smiled, it was wicked, and Sebastian could swear such sharp canines were not human, but he didn't comment on it, didn't even have the time to either. "For sure."
Shit.
He didn't like that one bit."Oooh?" He crooned. "Is that so?" He tried to smirk, grin, or just anything a tad annoying, but the genuine, raw, almost instinctual fear she caused in his organism didn't let him. His muscles just categorically refused."Your mouth is impressive. Your body almost froze in it's tracks yet..." She starts as she looks at him, his body language betrayed him so easly. Fucking asshole of a body. "And yet you still find the ability to snark at me. Truely impressive, but it's not gonna get you out of the troubles.""Something told me that I wouldn't get troubles off my butt by swearing like a sailor at all you eggheads." Sebastian sighed as if he didn't already know that. "What are you even going to do with me?""Telling it would spoil the surprise." She chuckled, these sounds didn't fit her. They were twisted and venomous. That woman was a sadist, Sebastian didn't need to see it in action to know. "For now." She raised her hands and he felt something pierce the skin of his neck, then blackout.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The haze slowly went away, he felt... cold, perhaps.Sebastian tried to move, raising his hand, pressing his palm against something. He opened his eyes to see it was glass, that gave sight over an observation room. Tubes connected to his body, some of them made sense like the one brought directly to a respirator attached to his face, but some didn't make sense, like this one attached near the inside of his elbow. The fluid he was in was an odd blue color from what he could see. It blurred out most things outside of what he now sees better, a tube, but if it was very close to the glass, he could see mostly well.He was in a tube. Naked with no surprises, with more tubes connected to his body.He couldn't speak nor could barely move. He blinked a few times, his legs crossed. Of course Sebastian, you're in a god damned tube with even more tubes inside of you and all you care about is that. Great sense of priority.Sebastian could hear the voice of reason, but lost for lost, he atleast was going to keep the last hanging thread of his long gone dignity. He was alone in the room. He couldn't spot any beige or brown spots, neither could he spot orange, pale yellow or black or brown blurry spots to tell him if that there was anyone. His fingers slid down against the glass. His heart beat didn't quicken, he was impressed. Perhaps he knew something might happen? But even if so, he didn't think this of all things would happen. But he wasn't panicked.Or perhaps there were some drugs in the tubes that kept him calm and pretty relaxed when he was alone. Sounds more than possible to him.He let out a sigh, curling his body in a light ball, floating in that odd fluid as he rested his chin on his knees. He felt small, the tube looked to be too big for him. He was alone, he felt miserable.Silence used to be his friend, now he'd give everything to hear something that wasn't the movement of the fluid surrounding him. He would punch himself for thinking that he kind of missed the insane scientist. You're in a tube, that's all... it could be worse. It could be worse you're just in a tube.Sebastian wasn't that convinced by his own mind but oh well.He curled up on himself even more. He felt like a peeper in the large waters of 4546B. A tiny creature surrounded by giants so big they don't even try eat him, only doing so by accident. He felt like a lost peeper in the endless and bottomless pit that is the Ecological Dead Zone the Hadal Balcksite of Alterra's sub-company Urbanshade is located in. A small creature fitting in the hand of a man in a never ending pitch black with creatures that could swallow entire sky scrappers in one go.But he was going to survive.Men and women, they crashlanded on this hellish planet. On a planet who's nature will never be shackled to the will of man, they survived it, uncovered it's secrets. Some left building their own ways out, but another made it her home.If inifinitesimal beings such as humans, intruder to this land managed to survive this place with only the will to survive even the worse, he could survive too. All Sebastian needed was the will to survive. And he had it.He had his will to live, he held it thightly. He had no reason to live, but as he heard the faint hissing of a door opening, the desire to live, to not give that monstruous company going by Alterra what they want, it all turned from a small flame into a blazing inferno."Well." He could hear the world around him? So the glass was not sound proof. But he thought he wouldn't hear it through the water or fluid. "You look so tiny in this big tube."If Sebastian could and had the strength to, he'd slap Dr. Brahams pleased smile off her lips."Hello, Z-13."
Z-13.
That's new.Usually they called him "prisoner" or something with similar meanings, but a whole dub? He now was sure shit was gonna happen. Afterall, he wouldn't get his very own classification among -probably- many others if nothing was going to happen. He wouldn't be in a tube either if nothing was gonna happen."You've been choosen for a great project with even greater ambitions."His eyes looked down at her, unblinking."Project Poseidon."Poseidon. The god of the seas in greek mythology. So whatever this was, it had something to do with the sea."In short. You'll be patient zero of trying to give humans gills."
Oh.

Oh no.
"Aren't you so lucky?"He showed his teeth, even if it was pretty futile with the mask covering most of the lower area of his face.
The tubes connected to his elbows. First assuming they were senseless was very idiotic. They were perfusions intended to feed him. But they also weren't only intended for that. They probably also inject him with some sort of tranquilizer to keep him under control.. and to inject whatever they were going to use to give him gills. It's going to hurt. A lot.He didn't know why, but he knew it. It was obvious, pain was going to slid down in his system like his greatest friend."I do hope your body will be as strong as your mouth when it's going to be put under what it will be."Her voice. God Sebastian will never be able to forget that voice. It was empty, so empty, so fucking empty! There was nothing, no emotions, no matter how pleased her face seemed, how angry she could maybe look, her voice didn't drip in anything. There was no venom, it was like talking to an animal that suddenly learned words but not thinking.Talking to something unable to feel any kinds of emotions."Do the injection."He tried to complain, but his scream, his plead to not do it, they were in vain, as no sound left his throat, left his mouth. His heartbeat did not rise. Now, he knew he was under some tranquilising drug for sure. While his mind panicked, his body was almost limp.
That was a clear show that he wasn't fully himself. He tried again, screaming in the air-bringing mask surrounding the lower part of his face. All still in vain as he hit against the glass. His movements slow and weak. His muscles responding with laziness.Green eyes met twisted, dark as night and deep as sea, brown. It sent a chill down his spine, he closed his eyes. He wanted to throw up. His stomach and intestines constricted, making his lunch, or lack thereof, go in a rollercoaster in his digestive system. His lungs followed, he could barely breath, no matter how much air was pushed into the mask. His heart went insane, beating at speeds that hurt. His ribcage and chest hurt. It hurt as his the organ beat against it in a panicked dance. His pained yelped was silenced yet again, as he curled over himself then arched his back to end up trashing around, trying to find a position that soothed the constriction, for something to soothe him and his hurting body.He wanted it to be over. Over! It needs to be over! He can't breath! He can't breath. He can't.His lungs are empty.
Empty.
Lungs.Empty. Simply, empty. They begged for such delightful air.Sebastian could just not give that air to them. He opened his mouth, but he couldn't inhale. His palm dug in his chest, his nails leaving red marks in there wake.
He blinked. Trying to make the blur in his vision fade. To see again. But like everything he did since in this circular, glass-made cage, it was all in vain. He could barely tell his fingers apart anymore.Heavy eyelids closed as his entire body slowly went limps, the organs slowly easing. He could breath again. But his innards hurt. A lot.
His chest hurt, his belly hurt, his head hurt. Hell, even his organ empty parts like legs or arms hurt.

Sebastian swore for a second his hair could hurt as well. He wanted to force his eyelids open. To force them into looking at what happened. Or to look into Brahams' eyes, begging with his gaze to be told what happened if it was not physical. But he couldn't find the strength to.
"Fascinating."
Her voice. The rage it caused to spill in him. It made his senses awaken, his energy growing back stronger as he opened his eyes. Something felt weird. He could see... differently. It was hard to even put words on it but he could see... better, but only in a targetted area. The rest was like his normal eyes. What happened? was the first question rushing to his mind."It seems you've reacted well to the first serum." Smiled the bitch, revealing her inhumanely sharp teeth. "That is great news, knowing what's about to come."
Uh oh.
Sebastian blinked, once, twice, thrice. He raised his hand and put it against the glass before realising. It was cyan. His hand was blue, and it glows. His eyes widdened as he jumped back, looking down at his torso, to see with horror that all his guts glow pink under his skin. He could see everything from lungs to heart, to stomach to intestines, to liver and to pancreas. He could see it all too clearly.
He could see his organs. Organs. He can see his organs through his torso. And the crazy scientist smiles! She seems to enjoy seeing him the way he is!"What have you done to me?!" He yelled in the respirator, only for the question to be choked out, dying it down to a unaudible yell for the scientists. "What have you done!"Sebastian hit his hand against the glass, Brahams' smile leaving her face as she clicked her fingers, and before he could complain, something started to run in his veins, and he started to feel weak. "Answer me..!""We can't have you going violent." She said, he could only tell her silhouette by now. "You better behave better."
